Yes, but Agueda still insisted that there

were no witches in their time. So then she
decided to grab a candle and do the ritual
with the mirror down the sala.

6. Who was Agueda telling the story to? Agueda is telling the story to her young

7. How did Agueda describe the devil? She mentioned that the devil had a scar just

a scar of sin and the latter was of honor.
The devil also had a moustache also like
that of her husband’s but the former’s was

reason why his grandma died is because of
the scare from the mirror.

What did he remember? the night of how he met Agueda and how
he had fallen in love with her.
So what do you think this story wants us to (Students’ give their varied ideas)
learn?

Indeed, as young adults, we are often

known for making silly decisions. However
in reality, we tend to forget things in the
long run. If you are ever in a point where
you forget why you pursue something, look
back to the beginning and remember the
reason why you went for it.

Another thing that the story tells us is that

we shouldn’t rely on superstitions, Agueda
and Badoy saw each other in the mirror so
they ended up being together despite their
very rough start, thus causing a bitter
marriage.
