Presser Foundation

Amount: $5,000–$100,000

Description: Special Projects Committee, one-time grant for special project. Grant cannot exceed
50% of project’s budget.

Required:

2) the strengths and accomplishments of the applicant organization(s);
3) the relationship of the project to the applicant’s capabilities and to the needs of the
community;
4) the long term impact of the project on the applicant and the community; and
5) the value and feasibility of the project.

Alabama Humanities Foundation

Deadline: Feb 15th, but proposal must be submitted one month prior

Amount: Major– up to $7,500


Minor– up to $1,500

Description: Active public participation, involvement of humanities scholars, and strong


humanities content are the three essential ingredients of AHF-funded projects.
*Project events must take place no more than 3 months after deadline

Required:
Preliminary–
1) a Project Narrative (two page max) detailing project goals, humanities content and
scholarship, intended audience, key project personnel, and publicity and
marketing strategy
2) a Budget Narrative detailing proposed grant funds and proposed applicant cost-
share, which may include in-kind
3) Email Word doc/PDF to grants director tbryant@alabamahumanities.org one
month prior to Feb 15th
4) Review application form/guidelines (must create an account to do so)

Formal–
1) Must be made through AHF Online Grant Management System
2) After reading the initial proposal, the grants director will notify if the project
should be submitted for formal application

J & M Foundation

Deadline: 2018 applications closed, will reopen in 2019

Amount: Not specified

Description: Focused on education, arts, science, and literature. No formal application process,
applicants submit short letter of inquiry. Applicants of interest will be invited to submit a full-
scale proposal.

Palm Beach Community Trust Fund

Description: To provide support, maintenance and upkeep of institutions and organizations


carrying on charitable, religious, and educational work for promoting education and scientific
research, for care of the sick, aged or helpless, and for improving living conditions and the relief
of individual needs.

Description: The Rea Charitable Trust awards grants exclusively for religious, charitable,
