E, Learning materials
a. Subject matter:Human Reproductive System
b. Material Description:
1. The structure and function of reproductive organs in males and females
 Humans reproduce to conserve species through the birth of their children.
Reproduction involves the reproductive system of men and women.
There are differences in the male reproductive system in women.
 The male reproductive organs include the scrotum, the testicles, the
expenditure line (epididymis, vas, the ejaculatory ducts / ejaculatory
duct, urethra), accessory glands (seminal vesicles, prostate, Cowper's
glands, glands bulbouretral), and penis.
 The female reproductive system consists of an organ located in the body
(of the ovary, fallopian tube / uterine tubes / oviduct, uterus, vagina) and
internal organs outside the body (vulva / pudendum with part of the mons
pubis, labia majora / big lips, the labia minora / lip small, the clitoris, the
vestibule, urethral orifice, the mouth of the vagina).

2. The process of formation of sex cells

 Gametogenesis in the male called sperrmatogenesis, occurred in the
seminiferous tubules in the testes. Spermatogenesis stages namely:
mitosis, meiosis, spermiogenesis, and spermiasi
 Gametogenesis in women called oogenesis that occurs in the ovary,
oogenesis begins when the life of the fetus before
birth, puberty to a productive period before menopause.
 Female sex hormones, including estrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH,
GnRH, HCG, placental lactogen (HPL / somatomammotropin
chorionic), chorionic thyrotropin, relaxin, prolactin, oxytocin, CRH,
prostaglandins.
 Male sex hormones include testiskular hormones (testosterone,
androstenedione, dihydro-testosterone / DHT, inhibin); pituitary
hormones (FSH, LH / ICSH), and the hypothalamic hormone (GnRH).

3. Ovulation and menstruation

 The menstrual cycle consists of the ovarian cycle (the follicular phase
and the luteal phase) and the cycle of the uterine endometrium (the
menstrual phase / period, the proliferative phase, secretory phase /
progestasi).

4. The process of fertilization, gestation, and birth

 Fertilization is the union of sperm with the secondary osit
forming a zygote.
 Pregnancy (gestation) is the development of the embryo to fetus
until birth, gestation occurs after fertilization.
 Childbirth (Partus) is the process of childbirth, is divided into three
namely the stage of cervical dilatation, childbirth, and the delivery of
the placenta.

5. Abnormalities in the human reproductive system

 Impaired female reproductive system, such as dysmenorrhea, pelvic
inflammatory disease (PID), breast cancer, amenorrhea, polycystic
ovarian, vaginal cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer,
endometriosis, constriction of the fallopian tubes, hydatidiform mole
(pregnant wine), myoma uteri (uterine myoma ).
 Disorders of male reproductive system, such as erectile dysfunction
(impotence), gynecomastia, penile cancer, hypogonadism,
cryptorchidism, urethritis (inflammation of the urethra), epididymitis
(inflammation of the epididymis), orchitis (inflammation of the
testicles), prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland).
