Extension spindles allow the remote opening and closing of valves when located below ground or in a pit

Features

• This extension system allows remote

actuation of butterfly valves in all sizes and
provides a simple economical system with
flexibility of design.
• Standard units are 304 S/S. Other materials
available on request.
• Handwheel, bevel gearbox, electric and
cylinder actuator can be remotely fitted
subject to size/weight/torque constraints.
• Long extension requirements need to be
designed to suit each specific application.
• Suits all valve sizes to DN 600.
• When ordering your extensions specify
the required length (XXX) from the valve
centreline to the top of the handwheel.
• Extensions are not free standing and must be
supported.
• Extensions are available with accessories
such as wall brackets and universal joints and
can be fitted with a F406 spindle cap instead
of a handwheel.

Note:
Extensions are used in conjunction with the non-rising
General application spindle as standard.

Extension spindles are ideal for the remote

opening and closing of knife gate valves when
located in pits or below ground.
