ln continuation of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions,


Department of Personnel and Training, Government of lndia O.M. of even number
dated the 21st July, 2009 on the abovementioned subject, the undersigned is
directed to say the matter was con'sidered by a Committee of Secretaries and the
following decision was taken:-

"As,regards;provislons for protectign of women, it


was suggested that thti complaints committee mechanism
ptovided undor Vishakhaguidelines relating to sexual harassrnent
should be strictly ilin acdordance wlth the judgment and steps *
should be takenllo ensuib'that the committee is effective and
functional at ,all i times:;j,lt. would . atso be desirable for the
Committees to peet o{!ce a quartel, even lf there is no live case,
and review prepaiednes-'iSElfiliTil requirements of the Vishakha .

judgment in the DepartmenUMinistry/organization concemed.


DOPT will issue.suitable directions.

All Ministries/Departments are requested to ensure compliance.
