1. COURSE SPECIFICATIONS
Course Title Elementary and Higher Surveying Course Code: CE 314
Course Description This course provides the theory and practice of surveying techniques and instruments including tape, compass, transit, theodolite and level; running a
traverse and leveling, preparation of plans of survey, and relocation of boundaries. Topographic surveying methods, Global Positioning System location for
latitude, longitude, time and location of shorelines and sounding, measuring velocity and discharge of streams, aerial and satellite surveying. Use of a
Global Positioning System in surveying and computer software.
SY/Semester 2017-2018/1st Semester Credit Units 4 units : 3 hours lecture/week and 3 hours laboratory/week

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Aside from the major course outputs stated above, this course requires two (2) major exams: midterm and final examinations. In addition, each of the topic
will require you to perform outputs.

GRADING SYSTEM:

To pass this course, one must accumulate at least 75 points through the course requirements discussed above. The maximum points that a student can
obtain through each requirement are shown below:
