The district network must be used to completed
educational assignments during school hours,
intellectual property laws must be strictly
followed, students must use their own network
account assigned to them.
Students are required to annually review the
district’s rules for acceptable use. New
students are required to sign the Digital
Citizenship consent form.
All devices on the network will be protected by
filtering software that blocks access to images
that could be damaging to minors.
There will be a specific, filtered network for
students with mobile devices to connect to.
Students can only use mobile devices when
given permission by a teacher. Mobile devices
being used inappropriately will be confiscated.
Students that obtain access to inappropriate
teacher immediately. Students that violate this
policy risk losing privileges.
Students should use the district’s network as it
is a shared file system. The district has the
right to inspect any action done on its system.
Students maintain responsibility for keeping
their username and password secure.
Students that intentionally try to violate the
district’s policy run the risk of having their
right to internet access being revoked.
Users are expected to be polite and use
appropriate language when using the district’s
network.
Students are not allowed to install anything on
network drives. Students can’t change system
settings.
