ELECTION POLICY
I. OBJECTIVE:
Select qualified officers willing to serve and contribute to the development of the
cooperative.
II. GUIDELINES:
A. Qualification of Voters
Regular members in Good Standing are entitled to vote and be voted upon.
The Board of Directors shall determine these qualified members.
D. Election Procedures
1. Posting of Vacant Positions
The Election Committee shall post a notice of vacant positions within
the school campus two (2) weeks before the election.
2. Filing of Candidacy
A qualified candidate shall accomplish a certificate of candidacy
with 2x2 picture and shall submit it to any of the members of the
Election Committee
The filing of certificate of candidacy starts 14 days from the actual
date of the Annual General Assembly meeting.
The last day of filing is 2 days before the General Assembly.
5. Conduct of Election
The election shall be held during the Annual Regular General
Assembly meeting.
One vote policy shall be strictly observed.
No proxy and/or cumulative voting shall be allowed.
The voting shall be through secret balloting.
No vote for one shall be allowed.
The candidates will toss coins in case of tie.
The election committee is responsible for the counting of votes.
The Chairman of the Election Committee shall announce the
number of votes gathered by each candidate and shall proclaim the
winners.
