PROPOSAL

The synopsis of our multi-camera film is a TV gameshow called Superhero Showdown. It will
feature two teams of three contestants representing Marvel and DC comics, the two most
prolific companies producing superhero-related content in the media industry. A presenter
will pit the two teams against each other in a series of rounds, gaining points in order to win
the game.
After the opening title sequence, the presenter will introduce the two teams and their
members, before he begins the first challenge. This round will be a debate to determine
who would win in a fight. Team DC will be given a superhero from the corresponding
comics, such as the Flash or Wonder Woman. Similarly, Team Marvel will be given a
character from Marvel comics, such as Ant-Man or Captain Marvel. Both teams must argue
as to why their character could win in a fight against the opposing team’s character. They
can refer to a character’s strengths and weaknesses and past battles that they’ve won or
lost. The presenter will decide which team gave the best argument; they will be awarded
one point, ending the first round.

The second round shall start with a VT of a member from each team designing their own
superhero costume, followed up by having them suit up as their character. The presenter
must decide on who has the best costume and persona, and will award the winner’s team
with one point.

After that, the third round will begin with another VT. This VT will display a series of
superhero logos. Each logo will be on screen for a couple of seconds, after which the teams
must guess the hero or team associated with that logo. If neither team can, then the
presenter will move on to the next logo after a couple of seconds. A point will be awarded
for every logo correctly guessed, to whichever team guesses it first.

Next, the presenter will return to the superhero personas that both teams created earlier.
This time, a different VT will play, showing both of the team leaders in costume while
performing acts of heroism as their respective characters. As it was before the presenter will
judge both clips as to how heroic the acts were, giving another point to the team he
chooses.

This will be followed up by the final round. After the introductory graphic (which features at
the start of each of the previous rounds), Both teams will choose a teammate to answer a
series of questions. In one minute, the presenter will ask as many superhero-based
questions as possible that have been written down as questions.

Target,

Our Target audience is mostly families, as this is the kind of people who would watch
superhero movies as well as watch evening television shows such as game shows. It is also
aimed at the comic book fans, for super heroes as there is niche heroes and villains. Most
super hero movies are rated PG-13/12 so they can appeal to the market of people with
disposable income, these being 18 – 25-year olds.

Our purpose with this film is to make a fun and informative game show, that appeals to
super hero fans as well as a mainstream audience who are mildly interested in comic books
and superhero movies. This show should also be an introduction to obscure characters from
comic books and TV shows. It should also pay homage to old or forgotten super heroes.
