Festember! What’s that?

Festember is the annual cultural festival of National


Institute of Technology Trichy in Tamil Nadu.
Having its humble origins in 1975 as a small fest
organized and managed by the student community of
NIT Trichy, it has grown into an extravaganza that draws
more than 15,000 students from over 500
colleges across the country.
With a plethora of cultural and literary events,
performances, workshops and absolute entertainment,
Festember has become one of South India’s biggest in
its genre.

As the years have progressed, Festember has grown to


reach out to various parts of the country and worldwide
through our Festember Social Responsibility initiatives
and Curtain Raisers at Bangalore and Chennai.

With the institution having celebrated its Golden Jubilee,


the fest is expected to set new limits for enjoyment and
gaiety. This year, Festember plans to conduct outreach
events that cater not only to music fans but also engage
students interested in the film industry.
Our Intent? Collaborate!

We, at Festember, would be immensely glad to


associate with
Outlook India as Distinguished Outlook Partner
for our cultural festival held annually in the 3rd
week of September.

Outlook India, being India’s most renowned News


Magazine, often celebrated for its coverage of a plethora
of topics ranging from Cinema, Sports, and Business to
Arts & Entertainment, will, with no doubt, aid Festember
in achieving a reach to a huge group of people, among its
diverse readership.
With Outlook India’s presence on a wide range of
platforms like Magazine, Social Media, Web Media,
Mobile Apps, will help Festember to spread its presence
to not only southern India, but also throughout the country
as well as internationally.

Festember having a rich legacy of exponential growth, in


terms of events, workshops, social responsibility, music,
theatre, dance & not to forget, Pro Shows by eminent
artists, both nationally and internationally over past 40
years, and previously having successfully partnered with
one of the biggest names in Indian media, will definitely
be of great advantage to Outlook India in terms of
branding and promotion through this fruitful association.

What’s in store for Outlook India?


Festember, famous for being one of the largest student-
run cultural festival of India, with a footfall of over 15,000,
with an exponential increase yearly, can effectively brand
Outlook India among this diverse crowd.

Deliverables from Festember

Brand Engagement
At NIT Trichy campus, the “Informals Stage” set up at a
crowd intensive location, will host brand engagement
activities to involve the crowd. Question asked to
audience could involve the following:
1. Which eminent personality would you like to see on
Outlook Magazine’s cover?
2. What’s your Outlook on Net Neutrality? (Or any
trending story).
Any content similar to above could be provided by
Outlook India, or any brand engagement activities could
be suggested and agreed upon through mutual consent.

Event Association
With over 50 dynamic and diverse events
conducted during the course of the 4 day
extravaganza, and attendees from over 500
colleges across India, Festember, would like to
partner with Outlook India for the following events:
1. English Lits
2. Art Events
 All correspondence (Social Media Publicity, On-
Campus Branding, Posters, Pamphlets etc) done
regarding English Lits and Art Events will brand
and promote Outlook India with the tag:
“Festember presents English Lits ‘in association with’
Outlook India” & “Festember presents Arts Events ‘in
association with’ Outlook India”.
 Standees (1 in number) can be placed on the
stage during all English and Arts Events.

Digital Marketing
Festember’s presence online, on social media has
an ever-increasing reach to an audience from the
young generation and college community.

Corporate Social Responsibility


In an attempt to give back to the society, Festember
has a dedicated team, called the Festember Social
Responsibility Team (FSR), who conduct events year-
long, across several states to help those in need.
We would be glad to associate with Outlook India for
all our FSR events.
Outlook India will be thoroughly branded as our
‘Distinguished Outlook Partner’, in form as Banner,
Backdrop, Posters, Event Pamphlets & Brochures,
and Online Marketing etc, during all our FSR events
conducted throughout several states.

Pro-Shows Partnership
Proshows have been an integral part of Festember,
presence of both national and international artists
perform at the NIT Trichy campus amidst 15,000
footfall. Vishal-Shekar, Salim-Sulaiman, Candice
Redding are some of the renowned artists who have
performed at Festember.
Festember would be thrilled to partner with Outlook
India, in order to make our Proshows a grand
success.
1. Outlook India will be branded on the giant LED
backdrop at the Open Air Theatre (OAT), in
form of logo during the course of Proshows
around the 4 day festival.
2. Outlook India advertisement or video can
played on the backdrop screen during the start
of the Proshow.
3. All posters regarding Proshows will contain
Outlook India Logo and Name.
Outreach Benefits
Festember Outreach Events are conducted as pre-
fest showcases at metro cities, like Bangalore,
Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
Prelims of Gig-a-Hertz ~ Semi-Pro Rock Band
competition, will be held during the Outreach Events
are prominent locations in this cities.

Branding & Promotion:


1. Presence of Outlook India logo and name on
the back of Outreach Stage.
2. All promotions regarding the Outreaches will
brand Outlook India as well.
3. All announcements during Outreach Events, will
announce Outlook India as Festember’s
Distinguished Outlook Partner.
On-Campus Branding
National Institute of Technology – Trichy, a renowned
engineering institute of the nation and ranked 1st
among all NITs, is widely popular even
internationally. A massive 800 acre campus, has a
great deal of branding avenues.
1. Name & Logo of Outlook India will be prominently
displayed on the backdrop of stage at Barn Hall, a
huge capacity auditorium, during all events
conducted there.
2. Branding of Outlook India on backdrop of ‘Informals
Stage’ & ‘Indie Stage’.
3. Periodic announcement will be made from the
Public Relation (PR) desk, promoting Outlook India
as Festember’s Distinguished Outlook Partner.
4. Correspondence done with all over 500 colleges
will brand Outlook India on all application material.
5. All banners and posters put up at prominent
locations such as Food Stalls area, Hostels,
Auditoriums etc will publicise Outlook India.

page in the September edition of Outlook
