CAD Draftsman

Job Description

- Provides technical CAD drawings for structures according to the structural engineer’s design and
specifications. This includes, but not limited to, Foundation Plan, Floor Framing Plan, Roof
Framing Plan, Structural Details, for structures like Reinforced Concrete, Steel, Timber, and
Masonry. Majority of the scope of work is more on structural, however, you will sometimes
require to provide floor plans, elevations, and sections.

Responsibilities and Skills Required

- Must have a minimum 3-5 years extensive working experience in the related field.
- Well-versed in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, and other related CAD softwares.
- Can produce a highly competitive shop drawings and structural details.
- Can work with arrangement drawings, title blocks, drawing scaling and plotting.
- Can read and convert structural engineer’s idea into a technical working CAD drawings.
- Can handle pressure, knows how to maximize work and time, and most importantly, can meet
specified deadlines.
- Can do multi-tasking job.
- Flexible and willing to learn.
- Can work with or without supervision.

Work Location

- The office is located at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and Araneta Avenue in the heart of Sta.
Mesa just in front of SM City Sta. Mesa and just 5-minute walk from V. Mapa LRT station.
Workplace

- You might think the workplace is a large room with employee cubicles for each. It is actually just
a home office (a condominium unit at 31st floor) with all the amenities open for you to enjoy
during your break time or days off.

This will be your workplace (31st floor – overlooking Ortigas and Mandaluyong City)

The Lounge Area at 5th floor beside swimming pools where you can spend time right after your lunch
or coffee break.
The pool Area at 5th floor where you can spend your weekends or enjoy night swimming just after
your office hour.
Requirements

- Transcript of Records/Diploma/Certificate of employment
- NBI
- SSS
- PAG-IBIG
- Philhealth
- TIN Number

Additional information required

- Portfolio of your previous drafting works specifically structural plans and details/shop drawings.
- Your previous salary rate at your recent company.
- Your preferred salary rate.
- You will be required to undergo trade test aside from interview prior to employment. This trade
test will be more on drafting works and you will be given at least 1 hour to complete the test.

The Company

- JMVC Consulting Structural Engineers (JMVC-CSE) is a startup consulting company founded just
last year by its Principal Structural Engineer. The company focuses on consulting services in the
field of structural engineering and acquires its project internationally (USA, Europe, UAE,
Australia).

What you expect

- The company is a startup and you will expect to work only with the Principal Structural Engineer.
Since you will be the first of the company’s employee, and given that the company will
eventually scale up, you have the opportunity to be one of its pillars and will eventually manage
the company’s succeeding drafting team. You will expect a number of bonuses whenever the
company performs well and of course, this is with the help of the services you will have to
render.
- Expect to render overtime work whenever needed. Overtime work is payable according to your
hourly rate.
