BACKGROUND OF META PLUS (U) LIMITED

In 2000 December, a Novell company was opened by personnel called peter who later sold it out and
the name of the company was changed from Novell Company to Meta plus (U) Ltd in December 2004.

Therefore the company Meta Plus (U) Ltd started manufacturing biscuits branded Novell named sweets
branded Ice mint.

It is under management of Mr. Nanavat who is the General Director, Mr. Shire who is the manager and
Mr. Vishall who is the production manager.

There are two shifts at Meta plus Uganda limited which include the day shift which resumes work at 7;
15am and ends at 6; 30pm and the night shift which resumes work at 6:30pm and ends at 7; 15am.

The company has permanent workers who total up to thirty and are on a monthly salary and it also has
those who are not permanent, these work weekly and are always paid every Saturday.

ACTIVITIES

Meta plus Uganda limited manufactures biscuits of different varieties, these varieties include; noveta
4piece, Noveta 2 piece, Marie 4piece, new glucose, baby glucose, milk, power 6 piece, power 8 piece,
kibonge , magic, love bite, chocolate, mango, strawberry, orange, banana, pineapple.

In other wards the products produced are biscuits and sweets of which sweets are branded as ice mint.
