INTRODUCTION:
Resorts are the principle fascination for the travel
industry. Batangas is known for white sand beaches,
world-class resorts and tourist destination all through
the world. A portion of these are very much protected
by the government and Batangas is one of the known
for destination like ancestral houses, diving spots and
particularly resort. It is known to be the focal point of
the world's marine biodiversity and it is the most
popular tourist destination near Metro Manila.
Batangas City is extraordinary compared to other
places of interest in southern part of Luzon. What's
more, its goals are aligned to the vision of the
National Government to bring development and
quality enhancement to the economic, political, social,
and cultural parts of the lives of the Filipinos These
are reflected in the priority project of the nearby local
government of Batangas.
The exceptionally reasonable system of this study will
be the introduction of the leap forward in the field at
foreign and local migration, growing private investors,
trade perception, tourism in promoting the national
features of the entire province of Batangas, and in
this way realizing maintainable economic
advancement profiting the entire constituents of
Batangas.
While the one of the main focus of the project is
relaxation, the meditation centre will be a huge help to
create a place for city dwellers to escape the
humdrum of urban life and sit with their families
amidst nature.

diversity," generally refers to the variety and variability

definitions defines it in terms of the variability within
species, between species and between ecosystems.
The number and variety of plants, animals and other
organisms that exist is known as biodiversity.
WATER FRONT DEVELOPMENT

PROBLEM STATEMENT
A design to maximize the unwinding and fun of the
traveler that will visit the resort. A resort that can’t
hinder with the nature without further affecting the
environment. Furthermore, a resort that is suited to a
tourist who wants to be amazed by the magnificence
of nature.
Batangas City is a busy and a crowded place
considering that Batangas Port is also located within
the city. People who lock for a particular place where
they can relax and unwind for a while have to content
themselves with limited places such as Plaza Mabini,
Basilica Immaculada Concepcion and Coliseum Sport

Center. What people need is something where they
can get total satisfaction in a pleasant and relaxing
environment showcasing Batangas' natural assets. THE CLIENT

the meantime fulfill the vacationer to have a lovely
look on a resort and furthermore promote the
awareness. There should be a place wherein
individuals can appreciate the nature and accomplish

Batangas City, the capital of Batangas Province has a
total land area of more or less 28,541.44 hectares. It
is about 112.00 kilometres away from Manila and has
a travel time of approximately two (2) hours through
the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR).
Topography
Batangas City is divided into two land masses by the
Calumpang River; the northern portion composed of
49 barangays (24 of which are in the Poblacion) with
an approximate area of 5,051.84 hectares or 17.7%
of the total land area and the southern portion
comprised of 56 barangays including Verde Island
with a combined area of 23,366.88 hectares or
81.87% (Figure 1). The northern and southern
portions are linked by only two concrete bridges both
located in the Poblacion, the Calumpang Bridge and
the Bridge of Promise.
Slope
Batangas City has a rolling terrain that ranges from
0% to 30% in slope. Its highest point is Mount Banoy
in Barangay Talumpok Silangan which is 968 meters
above sea level and about 13.50 kilometers east of
the Poblacion. The city‟s coastal Barangays starting
from Sta. Rita Aplaya from the north down to
Ambulong on the south are nearly level at 0% to 3%.
In the east beyond the barangays of Mabacong,
Simlong and Pinamucan Ibaba, the slope rises from
8% to 30%. The Matuco Point at the southwest tip of
the city along the Batangas Bay has a slope of 30%.
To the immediate south is Verde Island composed of
six (6) barangays which is mountainous and with a
slope ranging from 3% to 30%.
Soil Classification

when wet.
Climate condition
Batangas City is generally coolest during the months
of December to January with temperature ranging
from 22ºC to 26ºC. The mean temperature rises and
attains a maximum of 36 degrees Celsius (36ºC) in
May. The month of October marks the steady fall of
temperature.
The driest months in Batangas City are from January
to April, with the average monthly rainfall of less than
50 mm per month. The northeast
monsoon “amihan” prevails starting the months of
November up to April. Although originally moist, it
becomes comparatively drier after crossing the Sierra
Madre Range to the north and east of Batangas, thus
attributing for predominantly dry weather during this
period. By May to the later part of October, the
situation is reversed. The southwest monsoon
“habagat” prevails bringing with it considerable rain.
A pronounced maximum rain period occurs in
Batangas during the months of June, July, August
and September when southwest monsoon flow is
steadiest and the average monthly rainfall is 275 mm
per month. By the end of October, the northeast
monsoon starts to set again. However, the months
from October to December are not characterized by
dry weather as compared to the months from January
to April. This is partly due to the fact that typhoons
and depressions most frequently affect the city during
the months from July to December.

Site analysis
The site is located at barangay pagkilatan, batangas
city and it is also known as the “center of the center”
and situatedat the tourism zone as its descriptive land
use. The proximity of the site to various business

considered as a center of trade and development
within the city. In terms of public utilities and public
matters concerned , the area has quality features if
road network is concerned . the said road is
accessible to various types of land transportation ,
moderate traffic volume and has a good drainage
system.

The area has a sufficient supply of water , power and

telecommunication facilities that would supplement
the needs of the users.the proposed project will cater
the growing number of tourist coming from
CALABARZON and METRO MANILA.
