About Us
Teknik Sondaj Geothermal Gas Energy Oil Company is founded in Istanbul, Turkey in 1961. Teknik Sondaj
has more than 50 years of industry experience with oil, gas, water and geothermal well drilling and workover
operations in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Sierra Leone. Also has experiences with conventional and air drilling
technologies.
Due to well-organized structure and management, Teknik Sondaj is becoming one of the dynamic and fast-
growing private company in Turkey. One of the most valuable assets of Teknik Sondaj is its high-qualified
and self-motivated personnel, who have experience both in Turkey and abroad. All personnel working on the
field are adapted to conduct operations in any region under any local circumstances. The company’s

Drilling and Workover Rigs
Teknik Sondaj has 4 drilling and workover rigs to use for drilling and workover contracting. The company
provides a whole package of drilling contracting services including, but not limited to, drilling rigs, crew,
auxiliary equipment to E&P companies both in Turkey and abroad.

RIG#4 OVERVIEW
Teknik Sondaj Rig#4 (PM-3000) has joined to fleet in 2015 which is taken over from Merty Energy. PM-3000
is a trailer mounted type mechanical mobile rig and capable of pulling double stands effortlessly with its
33,5m mast height. Rig has 3000 meters drilling capacity with 4 ½” DP by the force of 1000 HP drawworks
power.
After PM-3000 has been incorporated into Teknik Sondaj structure, rig inventory significantly improved. Rig
items supported by high quality products of strong brands like NOV, Continental EMSCO, JEREH, UPETROM,
HYCO, Caterpillar etc.

Mud & Solid Control System
Mud pit system is renovated and supported with NOV Brandt shale shakers. Surface capacity has reached to
1060 BBL. Additionally, one of the most important guide of well control guaranteed by trip tank system that
has 50 BBL capacity. Besides of underground safety, pit system stays in the safe line with ex-proof design.
Solid control system is in the guardianship of 2 ea NOV Brandt VSM 300 shale shakers and desander-desilter.
High amount of all API mesh size screens keep away entire type of cuttings from the mud.

Circulation System
Circulation feeds by two strong and safe Continental EMSCO FB-1600 EC drive mud pumps. 1600 HP (1193
kW) EC motors supplies high flow rate even under hi-pressure. Feasiblity of coupling to a transformer
instead of power generators provides cost saving compare to diesel consumption up to 70%.
