GENERAL NOTES

A- CONCRETE

A- Concrete Grades / Strength shall be as Follows ;

- Grade 25 Concrete with Minimum OPC Cement
350 kg/m3 and Maximum Free w/c Ratio 0.45 OPC
( Ordinary Portland Cement )
- Grade 15 Concrete with Minimum OPC Cement
225 kg/m3 and Maximum Free w/c Ratio 0.45 OPC
( Ordinary Portland Cement )

B- All Reinforced & Plain Concrete shall be made up

with Sand , Crusher Fines and 10 and 20 mm Aggregates
.
B -REINFORCEMENT STEEL BARS
A- Tensile Test Reports for all Proposed Types of Steel
shall be submitted to CONSULTANT for Approval .
Testing shall Confirm to B.S.4449 and will Include a
Carbon test . Bars over 16 mm Diameter ( Inclusive )
and Bend - Rebend Test on High Yield Deformed Bars
Complying with B.S. 4449 Grade 460 Steel
( Minimum Yield Stress 420 N / NM2 )
shall be Used for All Reinforcement Bars and for Links
Mild Steel ( Minimum Yield Stress 250 N / NM2 )
shall be Used .
Unless Otherwise Stated Reinforcement shall have

C- CONCRETE COVER
Clear Concrete Cover as Follows :
Grade and Ring Beams 25 mm
All Sides
Concrete Floors 25 mm
All Sides
Bearing Capacity should not less
than 20 ton / m2
if less contact the Designer for
Redesign
