 ON-LINE GIVING
We are working with a company (Vanco) to set up
on-line giving for Holy Family Parish, Prairie Catholic
School and Lil’Saints Day Care. This is something that
many parishes have moved to, and we will be doing so over
time as well. We will soon have links on our website,
www.prairiecatholic.org, as well as instructions on how you
can access this payment/donation option. This will be
available for our school parents for tuition, trip charges,
lunch payments etc., and for parishioners that choose to
use this option for regular parish contributions. We will be
printing some ‘DONATION’ cards for those that use this
as a way to give and still wish to have something to place in
the collection plate during the collection. These will be
placed at the entrance of the church, and you will be able
to pick one up as you come in and place it in the basket as
it comes around. We will then return them to the entrance
of the church for the next Mass.
Please check out the web site over the upcoming
months for further information and to take advantage of
this option. As with anything new, I am sure there will be
an adjustment period, but this is something we are excited
to offer to our families. If you are currently using an on-
line donation, and wish to switch to this method, remem-
ber to contact your bank after making the switch to cancel
your current withdrawal.
Men’s Renewal Retreat – February 23, 2019
What does it mean to BE A MAN OF THE CROSS? The
Men of the Cross Men’s Conference exists to empower
and motivate men to live out God’s view of manhood
and be the best husbands, fathers, and leaders God has
called them to be. Join us for a one-day retreat that will
focus on practical ways to daily live out the Gospel call
be a disciple of Jesus Christ. We'll receive great insights
from Fr. Guiseppe to embrace our crosses and learn of
ways to become the man, father, husband, son that God
intended.

BURGERS AND FRIES
With the crazy weather we have been experiencing
this winter, Catholic Schools Week was pretty much a
washout, or better, it was frozen out. The Men’s Group
will be hosting a Burgers and Fries meal on Wed Feb 27th
serving from 4:30 to 6:00 pm as a makeup for the one we
had to cancel. The students will be doing their talent show
that evening as well, as they have worked hard on these
little skits. This will be a free-will offering. Please come and
join us for this family event. Also, if you would like to have
a tour of our school at this time, please contact the school
office to set an appointment., and we would be pleased to
show you what we have to offer at Prairie Catholic School.

The Diocese of LaCrosse is again sponsoring 50th
Jubilee Wedding Anniversary Celebrations for
those couples celebrating fifty years of marriage. If
you will be celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary any-
time during the calendar year of 2019 and would like to
attend, please call the rectory office. Bishop William Pat-
rick Callahan will send you a special invitation to attend a
celebration in your honor. The dates and locations for
this year’s events are:

Little Saints Learning Center
Our child care facility is looking for
a compassionate and supportive assistant work-
er, who has experience caring for children ages
two to thirteen years old. We are committed to
providing top quality care for every child enrolled

SCHOOL NEWS
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, the first & sec-
ond grade classes worked together to spread
love to the local animal shelter. Both dog &
cat toys were made by the student to be donat-
ed to Rivers & Bluffs. The 2nd grade students
also worked hard over Christmas time to cre-
ate their own books. The story titled “The Elf
on our Shelf” was published and given to the
students in early February.

Thank you to everyone who supported our
Usborne Book Fair held during Catholic Schools
Week. In spite of the adverse weather, the book fair
was a big success! Our totals sales were $3112. Based
on the amount of sales, our cash profit is $519 and we
earned $514 in free books for our library. Thank you
for your loyal support in promoting literacy; your
efforts are very much appreciated by our students,
staff, and library volunteers!
We are looking for several volunteers to ‘chair’ this
project for next year’s Catholic School Week. If you
would consider doing this, please contact Annie
Beinborn. .
