COURSEDESCRIPTION
This coursedealswith the concept and analysis of finite element method. This courseprovides an
effective too / method to solve complex mechanicalengineeringproblems which include structural
analysis, vibration, and heat transfer. Studentwill be trained to use finite element software to perform
engineeringanalysis on industrial products.
COURSEOUTCOMES
Uponcompletion
of thecourse,students
shouldbeableto :
1. Describethe fundamentalconceptsand methodsof finite elementanalysis.
2. Perform simple engineeringanalysis using finite element methods, and
3. Develop solutions of relevant mechanicalengineeringproblems using finite element software
available.
METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
Lectures and Finite Element lab-works.
