Rishi was running fast, unexpectedly fast.

Faster than Usain Bolt, but then,

everyone was faster than Usain Bolt. Anyone who ran slower than 25km per hour was
considered slow. And Rishi ran at an approx of 20km per hour. He was being chased
by one of the acid spitting monsters, being at the bottom of the ladder of 1 kill and
running away from one of his objectives is considered a disgrace. Alpharrs are meant
to hunt with superb grace and speed. Rishi had none of those.
He looked back; saw a big towering shadow and huge wolverine like claws. He
didn’t stop, just ran as fast as he could. Speeding trees sped past him; he heard the
sheeshhhh sound of burning wood as acid burned through them. The spitting monster
was close, very close. Rishi took an immediate turn and ducked under a gigantic rock.
Breathing hard, he looked at his diamond sword, the lowest quality of sword on Earth.
Rishi stopped panting and heard the growling sound of his objective; he looked up
and saw two big green eyes staring at him. Then the monster opened its mouth to spit.

Shhhhhhh…..

The mould tattooed on Rishi’s arm disappeared and the monster suddenly looked
less dangerous and closed its mouth before acid spit can come out.
And ran off.
The tattoo was to bait your objective to you and so making it easier for you to kill
it but the catch was: making your objective extremely agitated and violent. With the
tattoo gone the monster simply stops attacking you and therefore signaling the end of
P.E lesson.
That was the P.E lesson for today with Rishi coming last on the ladder. He sighed
and went off to change.

It is the year 4012; humans do not exist and are replaced by the graceful,
intelligent and beautiful Alpharrs. The Alpharrs are faster, stronger, smarter and more
handsome than the human race. On the December of 2022 the human race was wiped
out by a strange disease called the Changing. Animals evolved without the humans
hunting them for food for 200 years before the birth of the Alpharrs. (Or that’s what
the history books said.) The animals were bigger, stronger and smarter. New abilities
such as acid spitting took birth in the animals. The Alpharrs at the start had no idea
and so was killed in massive numbers. Then they grew smarter and rose to fight them.
Even though they can invent smarter weapons better than the atomic bomb attached to
a M4A1 assault rifle they decided they did not want to hurt Mother Nature like the
humans did and created the Trinity Blades. Simply put: Swords with incredible
lightness and stronger than diamond by 600 percent. Therefore the Alpharrs need to
master agility, speed and strength. That is what school is about right now in 4012.
There is no such thing as Math but even harder lessons such as the physics of earth
and how to pull off gravity maneuvers in a battle. P.E lessons were much more
dangerous than just a bloody nose, death can occur and they did occur. P.E lessons
consist of students hunting down animals (aka: monsters/objectives) and by hunting
down more objective than other students will score you points and therefore move up
the ladder.
Right now, Rishi’s at the bottom of the ladder with 20 points and the year nearly
at the end. Rishi sighed as he went off to History lesson and took several taunts and
insults from other students in his class. Shorty, Slug (because he was so slow), weak.
That was just some of the names they gave him.
Rishi sat down at the back of the class and listened to the teacher talking about
the history of the Alpharrs. The Alpharrs were much more handsome and beautiful
than the humans; all of them could score a place in Hollywood if it existed. Rishi had
a particular interest in one of the girls in his class. Named Lyndis Arden. Even though
she hardly knows he exist Rishi had always tried to get her attention. Lyndis is at the
top of the ladder with a total of 66 points. All the boys are trying to score with her but
all of them were rejected quickly.
Slapped awake from his day dreams by his teacher’s loud voice. He was talking
about how earth still might have Humans hiding somewhere just when the alarm bell
rang. The alarm only rang when there’s a fire or a large amount of predatory animals
came into sight. So everyone grabbed their swords and rang to the middle of the
school only to find something so shocking.

Standing before them was a human.

Rishi accidentally tripped and smacked his face on the ground. He moaned with
pain and quickly got back up, his face red with embarrassment. Deep inside him he
was grateful, that means the human was going to enroll in the school and the big
tough guys are finally going to have someone else to pick on instead of Rishi.

The next day Rishi saw the new kid; the human. His name was Jason, shorter and
less handsome than the Alpharr. Jet black hair in a manga like style and dark brown
eyes, he resembled an Asian. Rishi thought about how a human still exist! For two
thousand years there are no humans! And now…
The moment Jason came in Rishi’s class he was being picked on. Insults that was
even more insulting than usual. Everything about humans and such. The government
(yes there’s still a government.) actually took the fact that a humans still exist quite
well, Jason was all over the news everywhere! He became the world’s phenomenon in
one night. The school had tried to ask Jason some questions, but how that turned out
Rishi doesn’t know.
If I were him I’ll probably be rolling on the ground crying. Though Rishi.
Suddenly he was sorry for the human. Instead of crying, Jason stood proudly and
looked around for a seat. Rishi saw what Jason saw as well: the only seat beside the
beautiful Lyndis Arden. Rishi actually saw Jason flush. Inside, Rishi smiled. Jason,
sitting next to the only person that no one dare sitting next to. It’s either death by her
beautiful eyes or by her mesmerizing voice.
Jason sat down. Everyone was watching (even the teacher). Rishi’s heart thumped
hard, what was going to happen?
“Err… Hi,” said Jason. “Do you mind if I sit here?”
Everyone gasped lightly.
“Sure.” came the simple answer.
Then the class began. The normal jerks that insult the newbie didn’t say a word to
Jason. Having sat next to Lyndis Arden rewards you with huge respect and jealousy.

Then came the P.E lesson.

Rishi ran hard, following his interactive map and towards his objective. Jason got
a handicap because he’s never done this before. Jason quickly fell behind because he’s
a human. Rishi worried about him, the school only gave him a short white ivory knife.
Rishi stopped suddenly, instead of going to hunt down his objective he looked for
Jason and saw him instantly. Jason was battling the acid spitting monster that attacked
Rishi yesterday. He instantly knew that Jason had no chance at all. A human defeating
something that even Rishi (An Alpharr) can’t defeat just seemed impossible.
Jason dodged the acid by an inch quickly and rolled under the monster’s legs. The
acid spitting monster quickly jumped up and came back with a giant foot towards
Jason. He jumped at the last moment and recovered from the shock. The monster
didn’t stop there; it spat several acid lumps before ending with two slashes with those
claws, all of which missed. Jason didn’t stop either; he jumped lightly to the left and
threw the knife at the monster. Now one thing Rishi learned in school was you never
throw away your only weapon in a desperate situation. But that rule didn’t apply to
Jason. It hit straight into the eye, which the animal evolution process have made the
brain hardwired to the eye.
Apparently Jason didn’t know this; he used the monster’s sudden freeze and
grabbed the knife, yanking it out. Blood followed and Jason spun and got on to the
monster, stabbing it again and again. At last Jason thought it was dead and jumped off
and dropped to the ground, exhausted. Blood pooled next to Jason, he looked to his
left and saw another one of his objectives; A giant bull with four massive horns. Rishi
knew Jason was exhausted and it would be impossible for him to defeat another of his
objectives. Rishi was about to help when Lyndis came to the rescue. It was simply
amazing, she literally flew in the air with grace and easily landed on the bull’s head
and stabbed down into the eye. Making one of the quickest kill this year.
Lyndis landed beside Jason. He looked at her and thought how beautiful she was
before remembering his manners.
“Err…..Thanks….” mumbled Jason, wide eyed and staring at Lyndis.
“Don’t mention it, glad to help someone who’s in danger.” replied Lyndis. Jason
simply nodded nervously. Rishi couldn’t believe it! Lyndis actually talked to Jason;
the human!!
“And, if you need any help with anything. You can ask me.” with that Lyndis
smiled and walked away.
Jason could only admire at her beauty and then the P.E lesson ended. Jason with 2
kills, the same as Lyndis; top of the ladder!
