Job role

 Manufacturing feasibility analysis

Analysis of product drawings to assess the feasibility to manufacture as per internal standards within
quality and cost targets; coordinated the implementation of a comprehensive procedure for cross
functional feasibility analysis (product, process and logistics)
 ERP management (New projects)
Creation of item codes, routings and bills of material in ERP (Oracle E-business suite) for new products;
creation of departments and resources for new processes and/or during addition of assets; drafted a
procedure for the creation of item codes, routings, bills of materials, departments and resources;
 Project management
Key point of contact between internal functions and customer from the inception of a project up until
migration to mass production; responsible for ensuring adherence to customer schedule, timely
completion of project milestones and coordination of customer audits until start of mass production;
responsible for handing projects over to Plant Operations after PPAP after ensuring quality, cost and
capacity targets are met; core team member for the implementation of MAHLE Product Development
Process (PDP), a comprehensive product lifecycle management system

feasibility analysis reports, capacity sheets, sample lot production data, phase-wise open issues, lessons

i. Cycle time study (preparation of man-machine chart), measurement of cut and non-cut time,
theoretical cycle time calculation
ii. Machine tool benchmark study (compilation of technical inputs of machines used for different
operations)
iii. Manufacturing cost analysis (consumption norms of consumables and tooling for high volume
models)
 iv. Product data compilation for capacity planning, revision of volumes considered for capacity
planning based on quarterly sales budget
v. Creation of a procedure for estimation of process wastage in casting and machining
