EFA MANUAL

Initial Configuration
When booting up the system for the first time you will be presented with an login screen on the
console.

When all questions are answered you will be presented with an overview of your answers, if you
made a mistake or want to change any of the settings just type in the number of the option you want
to change.

If all settings are correct type OK to start the configuration.

When the configuration is finished the system will reboot and will be ready to go.

EFA-Configure
When you logon using SSH with the user you created during the initial setup you will be presented
with EFA-Configure, an menu driven shell that makes it easier to do common tasks.
The following can be completed using EFA-Configure:

 Reboot System
 Shutdown System
 Change IP settings
 Tune mailscanner
 Enable/Disable greylisting
 Enable/Disable autoupdate
 Configure system as outbound mail relay
 Configure an outgoing smarthost for your E.F.A. system
 Configure admin email address
 Add/Remove mail domains
 Configure spam settings
 Recover mysql in case of system crash

Adding mail_domains
In order for your domains to receive any mails they first need to be allowed to relay through your
E.F.A. system.

Note: Make sure you have changed your MX records to your new E.F.A. host.

 To add an domain to your E.F.A. first logon to your system with SSH and the user/pass that
you entered during the initial setup.
 When connected EFA-Configure will automatically start.
 Go to the option Mail Settings by pressing the shown number and press enter.
 You will see the Mail settings menu:
 .Then press 8 and hit enter
 You will have a menu like this

 Now press 4 for the Transport settings

 There you will see your added domain list.For adding a new domain press n
 Now enter the domain and hit enter then enter destination server IP that means IP
of that domain name as like below format
 Finally you will have the domain in your list .Now just point your MX to EFA
domain you will start receiving Email
To Use EFA For outgoing Relay Server:

From Config menu go to Mail Settings >>>> Outbound relay settings

Press 1 to enter new realy host


Again press 1 and enter to add the relay host name.Once You have added the relay host
here you need to also declare the relay host on your zimbra server that EFA host is your
relay server.
