GCSO LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMARY


FEBRUARY 11, 2019 – FEBRUARY 17, 2019

On Monday, February 11, Deputy P. Young travelled to the Bay County Jail to pick up
James Travis Prescott (43) and arrested him on two warrants for failing to comply with sex
offender registration laws. Prescott, who is a sex offender, failed to report changes to his
residential address and failed to report a change in vehicles owned. Prescott was
transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility to be booked.

On Tuesday, February 12, Sgt. D. Sanders executed an arrest warrant on Magnolia Drive
in Howard Creek by arresting Aaron Barjames Touchet (42). Touchet was wanted for
Violation of Probation on the original charges of Battery and Trespassing. Touchet was
transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility.

On Tuesday, February 12, Deputy P. Young went to Waterview Avenue to locate Nancy
Elaine Wolinski (36) and arrest her on a writ of bodily attachment for failing to pay child
support. Deputy Young arrested Wolinski and transported her to the Gulf County
Detention Facility.

On Wednesday, February 13, Deputy J. Page responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on


Sparrow Drive in Overstreet. A 1999 Dodge Durango, black in color, was parked in the
200 block of Hummingbird Lane. The vehicle was last seen by the owner on January 25th,
2019, and was noticed missing on this date. Deputy Page continues to investigate the theft.

On Wednesday, February 13, Deputy J. Page executed an arrest warrant on East River
Road in Wewahitchka by arresting Brandon Ray Michael Evans (27). Evans was wanted
for Violation of Probation on the original charges of Possession of Methamphetamine (x2)
and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Evans was transported to the Gulf
County Detention Facility.

On Thursday, February 14, at approximately 3:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the
area of Hwy 22 and Creamer Road in reference to female beating on doors to residences
and running down the road. The woman disappeared and could not be located. Concerned
for the woman’s wellbeing, the Gulf Correctional Institution K-9 unit was called to assist.
Gulf C.I. K-9’s tracked the woman successfully and she was located at approximately 8:00

AM on Hill Circle. The woman refused to explain her actions and did not report that she
was in any danger. According to witnesses, investigators learned that the woman was
consuming alcohol and narcotics the night before.

On Thursday, February 14, Deputy M. Manley responded to a report of a physical


altercation on Riverside Circle at Willis Landing. The reporting party claimed that a knife
was involved and that someone was injured. When Deputy Manley arrived, he encountered
an intoxicated man later identified as Joshua Gene Brown (23). Brown told Deputy Manley
that the knife he used was clipped on his pocket. Deputy Manley secured Brown in
handcuffs and secured the knife, which had blood on it. Brown, along with three other
subjects, including the victim, were drinking alcohol when Brown and the victim engaged
in a dispute. The dispute turned physical and Brown cut the victim’s hand. The victim
was treated at area hospital and released. Brown was placed under arrest and charged with
Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

On Thursday, February 14, Deputy C. Harvey was dispatch to the Gulf County Sheriff’s
Office substation in Wewahitchka to meet with a female who was alleging that she had
been beaten by her boyfriend. Deputy Harvey and Investigator P. Baxley met with the
female victim, who displayed some bruising and redness on various areas of her body. The
victim claimed that Kenneth Allen Polk (36), from Slocum, Alabama, hit her in the face
last night following an argument. This morning Polk attacked her again and left for
Alabama. The victim alleges that Polk attacked her because she refused to have sex with
him. Following the attack this morning, Polk threatened to harm her further if she called
authorities. Deputy Harvey is seeking to obtain warrants for Polk’s arrest, charging him
with Battery and Tampering with a Victim.

On Thursday, February 14, Deputy V. Everett responded to a report of an intoxicated


person causing a disturbance at the Subway restaurant in Wewahitchka. When Deputy
Everett arrived, he identified the intoxicated man as Terry Lee Cooper (53), of Nevada.
Cooper had ordered food he could not pay for and was being very loud and disruptive
toward patrons inside the restaurant. Cooper was placed under arrest and charged with
Disorderly Conduct.
