On average, Filipino internet users spent three hours and 57 minutes per day on a
social media platform in 2017. While that is slightly less than the 2016 average of four MOST SHARED
hours and 17 minutes, it is still the highest average in the world—a distinction the
Philippines has held for the past three years.
That’s according to Digital in 2018, a series of reports by social media agency We Are
Social and social media management platform Hootsuite published on January 30. The
report provides an overview of the digital landscape of over 230 countries, describing
