There is no money allocated to Art even now…

Doesn’t LPA cover art expenses?
LPA is separate and does not fund any art pro-
grams. The following fundraisers support LPA.

tion?
Yes! Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Why do I have to pay for my own child’s
art?
The material used for a child to make a piece
of art costs money. We ask for a donation in any
amount to help cover those costs and to sustain
the art program.
When can I take my child’s individual
art piece home?
You can take your child’s art piece home with
you at ArtWorks or you can pick it up in the of-
fice the following Monday after ArtWorks.
What is an art parent liaison?
An art parent liaison helps communicate, edu-
cate, and decorate! Please ask one of our com-
mittee members for more information.

Why should I come when I know I can’t
afford to bid on any art piece?
ArtWorks is also a festival and a celebration of
the Arts. Please come and enjoy whether you
bid or not!
Is art really that important?
Besides being part of a well rounded education,
Learning Through The Arts
art (fine arts & performing arts) can be used
as a teaching tool in almost all areas of study.
Check out the 8’ paper mache skeleton in Kris-
tin Hopkins room and/or attend Mrs. Babcock’s
Longfellow School
play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. You will see
science and history come alive through the Arts.

How can I get involved?
• You can join the ArtWorks committee. Task/
