ACCOUNTING CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION :

 The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in


an accounting department including:
 Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
 Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing
financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts,
accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer
programs (SAP)
 Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
 Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or
external vendors or customers.
 Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
 Investigates questionable data.
 Handles cash and cash related transactions, issues receipts, records and types
money lists, and balances cash fund; enters cash transactions in ledgers and
reconciles cash reports; prepares bank deposits.
 Assists in preparation of financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost
reports.
 Assists in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment,
supplies, and inventories.
 Distributes, reviews, calculates, and processes payroll time sheets and
employment documents; verifies account numbers; maintains sick and annual
leave and other payroll records.
 May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers
performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as
appropriate to the area of operation.
 Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS :

 A high school diploma; however, most companies require further education and
working experience in the field
 A complete or comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and
procedures
 The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial
information, whether it’s information for the company or for individuals
 Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing
 Computer literacy, as accounting clerks are responsible for keying information
into various computers and software programs
 Strong people skills – a polite and professional demeanor when working with
other companies, as well as consumers and coworkers
 The willingness and ability to comply with local, state, and federal financial
regulations, as well as the regulations established by the company itself

GENERAL ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR :

JOB DESCRIPTIONS :

 Performs day to day general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis
for assigned functional areas.
 Provides and accurate timely financial informations and reports to facilitate the
decision making process.
 Organizes date from units (AP,AR,G/L,Cost Accounting) keeps an update on
reports and examines statistical facts to determine error and carry out review on
general content.
 Ensure adequate internal records are on place.
 Responsible in preparation on budget.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 Must be graduate of BS Accountancy ; CPA is an advantage but not required.


 Minimum of 3 years experience in General, Cost Accounting and Financial
Reporting in a manufacturing industry.
 Must have exposure in computerized Accounting System.
 Must be flexible and is sometimes required to travel to manufacturing plant,
