CONCLUSION

Specific gravity is the ratio of density of a substance to the density of reference substance. In
this experiment, the reference substance is water. After calculating the substance density, the
density of water in the same container was calculated.

Specific gravity is useful to determine the characteristics of the substance. The density
of the substance is important before being used in machine to avoid failure.
