Ashill Village Aid 's Friday
Lunch Club at the Call In has
proven to be a great success. At
the beginning of last year we
served lunches for approx 7
people, the lunches being
delivered from the Lodge Care
Home in the village.
We called a meeting to look at
the possibilities of cooking
lunches at the Call In. From that
meeting we have five cooks and
six helpers cooking delicious
meals on the premises. We now
have approx 20 people enjoying
the pleasure of dining together
on a regular basis.
Although it has taken some time
to get the essential Breckland
Council permission, purchase of
a larger cooker and equipment
everyone has been happy to give
their support to this venture. In
addition we have a volunteer
designing attractive menu cards
and a volunteer driver for the
vehicle we are able to hire from
The Well Centre in Ashill.
All is looking good for 2019.
