I would not be surprised if the bodies were all the same, just manufacturing
tolerances could make small differences. I do like your collection though.

I agree, they spec / measure / sound the same, gold plated pins or not.
I think the P202c and P33 are "hand picked" ones from the P23/P24/P30 lot, no more.
These carts can be had dirt cheap, be it including a Technics turntable or without. I
bought some SL-D210, SL-D22, SL-J's etc for prices of 10-25 bucks each and they
dutchflea included the cartridge and stylus. Without the turntable they can perhaps be had a
Active Member tiny little bit cheaper, but hey, why not get a TT with it for free.

Picked mine up on a Technics SL-QX200 in very nice shape. Probably buy a AT92 for
it and put it back on CL.

Well this settles it. Gold pins, silver pins, doesn't seem to matter.

Wish I saw that auction in time. The specs are right there! But covered. So frustrating.

Which specs are you looking for and for which model(s)? I might have some for you, I
have been gathering data from brochures in the past.

Well, generally people are wondering about the differences between all the different
models. They all seem so close. What's the difference between them?

Here are specs from some of the early models, showing that, if nothing else, things
stay pretty much the same until you get to the really fancy and expensive models, but
you can see a rough correlation between effective tip mass and frequency response
bandwidth specs. So as a rough rule of thumb, stick with the styli that show the
furthest treble extension if you can't find any that show response past 20kHz with a
tolerance (eg, ±3dB). Get the boron-cantilevered ones if you can, or at least the
wualta titanium P540. Other than this, the specs don't leave much to choose from-- they're

information on or in it, but you will find that toleranceless frequency response spec.
Location: Shoot for something beyond 40 kHz. Of course, you might end up with a conical,
West Michigan USA because retail packaging doesn't give you that information. We need as many
brochures and spec sheets we can find.
It's not really Spike Milligan, just a particularly clueless cat showing her whut face.
