GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
EFL. 4.1.6 Seek and provide information and assistance, orally or in writing and in online or face-to-face
interactions, for personal, social and academic purposes.

UNIT SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:


O.EFL 4.8 Integrate written and spoken text in order to identify cultural differences and similarities within a
range of local, national and global contexts familiar to the learner.
O.EFL 4.2.12. Describe habits, routines, past activities and experiences within the personal and educational
domains.

METHODOLOGICAL STRATEGIES – ACTIVITIES:


Comparing answers in pairs or small groups.
Participating in short dialogues and role plays to practice target language.
Singing songs to practice helpful language.
Using social media to network with teens across the globe.
Listening to another’s answers in class and responding appropriately.
Watching a short video writing three new things they learned.
Listening to spoken or recorded descriptions of familiar scenes and marking the words you hear.
Reading a range of texts from subject areas and finding and defining common themes across content areas.
Reading about a topic and then identifying reference materials and sources that could be used to find out
more information.
Using a list to choose the best sources for finding information on a topic.
Completing the gaps in a sentence.
Using questions prompts to interview and then write sentences about a classmate.
Brainstorm ideas on a topic.
Doing extended or free writing on a class blog.
Exchanging writing in pairs in order to make suggestions about things that could be improved.
Reimagining a story in a different setting.
Responding to a poem by a video representation.
Discussing similarities between a text and the learner’s personal experiences.
Writing comments to peer’s blog posts.
