Table 2 showed the profile of the respondents in terms of the gender, age, civil status,

rank, number of years of working experience, and work designation of the participants.

There were more male respondents than female respondents in the study. Out of the

147 responses received, a total of 119 were male participants (81%) in comparison to

28 female participants (19%).

In terms of age, 31.3% were 26-30 years of age, followed by 27.9% in the age range of

31-35, 21.8% in the age range of 36-40, followed by 6.1% in the age range of both 41-

45 & 46-50, 5.4% in the age range of 21-25, and only 1.4% in the age range of 51-56.

Out of the 147 responses received, a total of 98 were married participant (66.7%) in

comparison to 47 single (32%) and 2 widowed (1.4) participant.

Furthermore, most Respondents are Police Officer 1 (38.1%), followed by Police Officer

3 (23.1%), Police officer 2(16.3%), Senior Police officer 1(8.8%), Senior police officer

2(6.8%), Senior police officer 3(4.8%), and Police officer 4 (2.0%).

The Most work designation of most respondents was Patrol (25.2%) followed by traffic

(24.5%), Investigation (15.6%), intelligence (12.9%), other work (8.2%), and

Administration same with logistics (6.8%).

In terms of a Number or length of service of the participant, most of the respondents are

between 1-10 years (52.4%), followed by 11-20 years (34.7%), 21-30 years (11.6%)

and 31 years and above (1.4%).

In this survey, respondents are generally fresh in police service, and only low in rank

because of length of service. Based on the profile of participant, low rank participant

apparently dominated the participant in this study. Therefore, the analysis may not be

generalized to the whole population of Non Commissioned Police Officer as highest

rank of Non Commissioned Police Officer may have different attitude, belief, behavior,

and attributes towards motivations of job satisfaction as compare to lower rank of Non

Commissioned Police Officer.
