25 years ago in Valencia, Spain.

of more than 2600 Sq. M.

application pumps. The pumps can be offered in
various Metallurgies such as Cast Iron, Stainless

Introduction

plants. FGHC fire pumpset shall be used only where a system with all required accessories ready for site installation.

• Each engine is factory tested to verify power and performance. • Engines are to be used for stationary emergency standby fire pump service only. Engines
are to be tested in accordance with NFPA 25.
• Although FM-UL ratings are shown at specific speeds, Clarke engines can be
applied at any intermediate speed. To determine the intermediate speed power; • Engines are rated at standard SAE conditions of 29.61 in. (752.1 mm) Hg barometer and
make a linear interpolation from the Clarke FM-UL power curve. Contact Clarke or 77°F (25°C) inlet air temperature [approximates 300 ft. (91.4 m) above sea level] by the
your Pump OEM Representative to obtain details. testing laboratory (see SAE Standard J 1349).
• A deduction of 3 percent from engine horsepower rating at standard SAE conditions shall
be made for diesel engines for each 1000 ft. (305 m) altitude above 300 ft. (91.4 m)
• A deduction of 1 percent from engine horsepower rating as corrected to standard SAE
FM conditions shall be made for diesel engines for every 10°F (5.6°C) above 77°F (25°C)

Jockey Pump

Introduction
Jockey Pump are small, motor driven pumps used in When the water pressure drops below the pre-set level, the
conjunction with main fire pumps to compensate for minor pressure switch energizes a starter which activates the
leaks in the fire protection system and automatically Jockey Pump. Correct water pressure is therefore maintained
maintain stand-by pressure. This reduces wear on the at all times. An optional minimum run timer will prevent the
main pump and controller caused by unnecessary, Jockey Pump from being started too frequently. This timer will
frequent operation. Jockey Pump controllers are available ensure operation for a minimum of 2 minutes. If a fire should

"Hand-off Automatic" selector switch for manual operation.
Occasionally in a Fire Pump system, water leakage will
occur at flanged or threaded pipe connections, valve
stems, stuffing boxes, etc. This normal loss of water will
lower the system pressure gradually until the main Fire
pump is required to start. To minimize wear on the Fire
Pump resulting from unnecessary operation, a Jockey
Pump is recommended for the system. In a Jockey Pump
system a small pump, motor and Controller / pressure
switch unit is installed in the piping system.

HD FIRE PROTECT PVT. LTD. hereby referred to as HD FIRE warrants to the original purchaser of the fire protection products manufactured by HD FIRE and to any other person
to whom such equipment is transferred, that such products will be free from defect in material and workmanship under normal use and care, for two (2) years from the date of
shipment by HD FIRE. Products or Components supplied or used by HD FIRE, but manufactured by others, are warranted only to the extent of the manufacturer’s warranty.
No warranty is given for product or components which have been subject to misuse, improper installation, corrosion, unauthorized repair, alteration or un-maintained.
HD FIRE shall not be responsible for system design errors or improper installation or inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by buyer or buyer’s representatives.
HD FIRE will repair or replace defective material free of charge, which is returned to our factory, transportation charge prepaid, provided after our inspection the material is
found to have been defective at the time of initial shipment from our works. HD FIRE shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential loss, damage or expense arising directly
or indirectly from the use of the product including damages for injury to person, damages to property and penalties resulting from any products and components manufactured
by HD FIRE. HD FIRE shall not be liable for any damages or labour charges or expense in making repair or adjustment to the product. HD FIRE shall not be liable for any
damages or charges sustained in the adaptation or use of its engineering data & services. In no event shall HD Fire’s product liability exceed an amount equal to the sale price.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties and representation whether expressed, implied, oral or written, including but not limited
to, any implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. All such other warranties and representations are hereby cancelled.
