Hand trucks were invented in the 1700s. The job of unloading items from ships
was typically left to boys, some as young as ten. These youngsters of course did not have the
muscle to lift heavy items, so someone came up with the idea of crafting an ‘L’ shaped platform
with two wheels at the bottom. The lower shelf portion of the truck could be slid under a sack,
then the whole truck tilted backwards in order to move the sack around, with the wheels bearing
some of the weight and making the whole task easier. Hand trucks comes in a variety of design
and are made of several materials. Small hand trucks made from durable plastic or aluminium
are often used in home settings, while heavy duty steel hand trucks are most often used in
commercial application.

Through the years hand trucks become useful in transporting items and been
innovated until recently. In the industry make it in here or other countries there have been
innovated and improved hand trucks. Like the Cisco-Eagle lift hand trucks which is has powered

customers like the one who manage small business can’t afford to acquire innovated hand trucks
because of its expensive cost.

Inspired by its concept of lifting the base of the hand truck, we develop further
more functions into a one hand truck. Instead of having an electronic lift hand truck we design to
be it mechanical for the purpose of improving the features of a standard hand truck that is widely
used in this industry. By that, we come up to have a lesser cost of manufactured unlike the
electronic hand trucks. This multipurpose hand truck is functional, durable and obtains its
ergonomic function. Durable because the materials used can withstand and carry enough heavy
loads. And unlike the electronic hand truck that supported by batteries this hand trunk is much
effective to use for long lasting. The materials used are made for durability and can reduce the
cost in a way that our primary and secondary market can afford. Functional in a sense of
obliging the needs and requirements of our customer by serving multipurpose hand truck.

control to lift action. Its advantage is that it is durable in a way that it can work longer without
using any batteries or chargeable than in an electronic control switch.
