Topics: Salvation for all & Freedom from prisons

(My life testimony Galatians 5:22-23)

I. Salvation for all
Acts 10:24
24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea,
Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close
friends. (Story in Acts 10 whole chapter salvation for all, Jews or Gentiles)

* Salvation - The deliverance by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin
which granted to those who accept by faith God’s conditions of repentance and
faith in the Lord Jesus.

John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, I’ am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me.

kay Jesus Christ. Sila ang mga tao na dapat nating sharehan ng word ni God)

1. We must believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:9-10
9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your
heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your
heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess
and are saved.

Acts 16:31
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and
your household.”

MERCY God loved us but He cannot and will not contradict His word that “a
JUSTICE soul that sin, it shall die”. God could not allow a sinner to go
JESUS CHRIST unpunished so a substitute had to be provided for our sins.

2. Jesus Christ came to the earth. He died on the cross to bear the penalty for our
sins. We should have died but Jesus took our place.
John 3:16
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”

3. His death was a substitute for our spiritual death. He died in order to pay for
our sins and He has provided salvation for everyone who will accept Him.

John 3:17-18
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to
save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but
whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed
in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Ex. Zacchaeus

Luke 19:8-10
8 But zacchaeus stood up and said to the LORD, look LORD here and now I
give half of my possessions to the poor and if I have cheated anybody out of
anything, I will pay back four times the amount. 9 Jesus said to him, today
salvation has come to this house, because this man, too is a son of Abraham. 10
for the Son of man came to seek & save the lost.
(the story about zacchaeus the tax collector)

I Timothy 2:3-4
3 This is good, and pleases God our savior, 4 who wants all people
to saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

II. Freedom from prisons

Acts 16: 25-26

25 About midnight Paul & Silas were praying and singing hymns to
God, and other prisoners listening to them. 26 suddenly there was such a violent
earthquake that the foundations of the prisons were shaken. At once all the prison
doors flew open, and everyone’s chains loose.
*Ang unang pumkapasok sa isip natin tungkol sa freedom from prisons yong literal
na kulungan na may mga naka bilanggo.

*Everyone seeks freedom: In Romans 6 whole chapter Paul explains that we are
slaves, We are slaves of sin.

Ex.: Our everyday day life:

1. Our family
2. Sa ating trabaho
3. Our attitudes
4. Sa ating pakikipag relasyon
5. Mga bisyo
6. At ang pinaka mahirap yong bilanggo tayo ng sarili natin.

Conclusion:

In an act of faith we must open our hearts and invite and receive Christ as
Lord and Savior. We must believe He can save us and that He has saved us
once we accept Him. (John 1:12; 3:16-18)

John 1:12
12 Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He
gave the right to become children of God.

John 3:16-18
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” 17 For God
did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the
world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but
whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not
believed in the name of God’s one and only Son
