Key Activities:
Assist Manager Asset & Design to plan, program and execute specific design
projects
Undertaking field surveys of allocated engineering projects using digital
positioning equipment (GPS).
Compilation of field data and 3D modeling using Civil CAD and 12D.
Investigate analyses and report on projects associated with the repair,
maintenance or construction of Council’s Civil Infrastructure assets.
Preparation of detailed structural, hydraulic, geometric and environmental
engineering designs for allocated projects in the areas of water and
wastewater, road works and storm water drainage.
Preparation of tender specifications, schedules of quantities and estimates for
allocated projects.
Investigating issues and providing specialist advice on behalf of Council’s
Technical Services Department.
Undertaking assessment of traffic and drainage impacts associated with
development applications.
Liaising with and provide advice and recommendations to onsite supervisors
and crew leaders regarding implementations of civil projects.
Attending meetings and providing technical information with the local Traffic
Committee and on-site tender meeting.
Investigation and report on customer work requests as required.
Advise Manager where a peer needs support to meet required standards.
Provide on the job training to colleagues as required.
Monitoring and maintaining a safe workplace.
