Installation of programming-board software

1. Folder and Files

Decompress file “CodeSoftware.rar”, will see two folders “boardSoftware” and “USB Driver”, see figure 1

2. Run “setup.exe” in boardSoftware, click Next, till finish. See figure 2

Connect programming-board with computer and Installation of USB Driver

1. Connect power line to Testing board, connect min-USB line to Testing board, see figure 4.

2. When connect USB line to computer, it will pop out USB driver installation window, see figure 5

3. Select the USB Driver path, and click to next till finished, see figure 6

 Function Introduction

Setting address of I2C, default value is A0 by hex.

Setting initial byte of data, default value is 0 by decimal.

Setting the length of data, default value is 128 by decimal.

“READ” button for reading information.

“WRITE” button for writing the information on the module.

Input the Bin file.

Output the file as Bin format.

For writing the user information, initial byte is fixed as 128.

 Interface select button, for USB or parallel communication interface.

Version types, Hardware Version is without password protection, MCU SFP, XFP, SFP+ and

others are with password protection.

This button is only available for XFP. If the Transceiver module is XFP, table01 is for the basic

information, table02 is for user information.

This button display the waiting time after write password, only for the module is password

protected effective.

Demonstration

Reading SFP EEPROM Information

Please choose interface type and set the preference as below:

+ + + or , click for reading data.

Please set value as 128 if read the last 128 bytes data of A0, or if need to read the user

information of A2, please set value as A2 and set as 128, then click Read button.

Writing SFP EEPROM Information

Setting as + + + , or if MCU SFP, please choose .

Click to inputting the basic information or modifying information directly. Then click for

final writing. Please set as A2 and as 128 if need to write A2 user information.
Reading XFP EEPROM Information

Setting as + + + . Then choose Table01 for basic

information and Table02 for user information. Click for data reading.

Writing XFP EEPROM Information

Setting as + + + + . Click to inputting

the code information. Then click for data writing.
