HNA’s Chrome Sleeve and Zirconia Ceramic Liners are


designed to be interchangeable with OEM triplex pumps.
All our liners are made with a high strength forged steel
shell machined to fit triplex pumps and fitted with high
pressure lip sleeve(HP Lip Patent). The liner is precision
machined to exact tolerances to keep the liner concentric.
The sleeve is manufactured to the bore tolerances specified
by API to provide longer life by reducing gaps between the
liner bore and piston. After the shell and sleeve are
assembled, the I.D. of the liner is honed to a perfect circle
and polished to a mirror finish.

Ceramic liners are currently the premium liner offered today.


Ceramic liners have been known to operate well over the 7000-
hour work. Due to the high hardness of the ceramic surface,
they wear substantially less than other liner types. This
translates into longer piston operating times. If the correct
conditions are present, the cost per operating hour can be much
less than that of the other liner types.

l Advanced Zirconia Liners are significantly harder than hardened


steel liners, and are tougher than any other ceramic available. The
ceramic used in these liners are extremely resistant to corrosion and
heat.

l Zirconia is more than 25% harder than Chromium alloys which


results in a significantly lower wear rate of the liner sleeve.
Considering the smoother surface, piston life is greatly extended. In
a past case study, a pump with Chromium liners used 55 pistons
over the test period compared to only 12 pistons used in the pump
outfitted with Zirconia liners. Piston savings along exceeded $8,000
not to mention reduced maintenance downtime.
l Traditional liner hourly cost is approximately $1.05 per hour, while
Zirconia Liners are approximately $0.23 per hour.

HNA MUD PUMP EXPENDABLES ACHIEVE RECORD


OPERATING LIFE OF OVER 1,300 HOURS

QINGDAO HNA, a product and service provider dedicated to the world oil and gas drilling industry, has
achieved a record operating life of over 1,700 hours for its mud pump liners and pistons.
Installed on the Number 2 mud pump of Nabors’s rig F04 for a test run, the pistons and liners operated
for 960.5 hours from 14 August 2011 to 29 December 2011. The working pressure of the mud pump was
between 1,500 psi and 2,650 psi, but most of time the mud pump was operating at 2,000 psi to 2,300 psi,
according to the log book.
“The results were incredible,” said Mr. Mike Richardson, who conducted the trial run. “Normally,
the usage time in this type of working environment is between 300 and 600 hours for a piston and 800 to
1,000 hours for a liner.”
“The test was originally planned to assess the usage life of the pistons recently developed by HNA, and
it turned out to be a remarkable run. As an expendable supplier for 20 years, I have never seen such a
long usage life for a piston and liner operating at this working pressure,” added Mr. Richardson.
“The record performance of our mud pump expendables continues to validate the philosophy that HNA
employs for our entire range of products. We offer cost effective products that meet the highest quality
standards,” said president.

lHNA Warranty:
l Ⅰ. HNA warrants all the products quoted comply with API 7K Standard, exceed
requested life-span as per API Specs under proper drilling circumstance &
operation, and are 100% interchangeable with OEM products.
l Ⅱ. HNA warrants all the products supplied to be brand-new and free from defects
in material and/or workmanship under normal use and services. Shelf life warranty
of all HNA products (metal material only, rubber material not included) is 13
months from Exw/FOB delivery.
l Ⅲ.Quality issue, if any during warranty lifespan under proper drilling
circumstance & operation, shall be judged and settled by independent Third Party
Inspection approved by both parties.
l IV. The liability for any confirmed defects shall be limited to the repair or
replacement of such products, or at the option of HNA refunding of purchase
payment only, and HNA shall not be liable for any consequential damages for
breach of warranty.
