ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

First of all, I would like thanks to god for daily life that he given to me, for good health,

wisdom knowledge, power, strength to challenge and face in any problem that come in my life.

I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Sir. Gelmar De

Guzman for providing me an opportunity to do the project work in High Voltages and giving us

all support and guidance, which made me complete the Work Immersion. I am extremely thankful

to our school College Of Business Education Science And Technology for providing such a nice

support and guidance.

Secondly, I would also like to thank my parents and friends who helped me a lot in

finalizing this project within the limited time frame.

I would not forget to remember Mrs. Arlyn Dy and his husband Mr. Joey of High Voltage

for their encouragement and more over for their timely support and guidance till the complete of

our Work Immersion.

DEDICATION

As well as everything that id o, I would be honor to dedicate this narrative report to my

parent. The two persons that gave the tools and values necessary to be where I am standing

today. My parents support me on every step I make, and decision I take, but necessary to

understand that they let me take my decisions alone in order for me take my decision alone in

order for me to learn from my personal mistake and as my father says to “learn and grow from

each seatback”. I will never finish to thank my father and mother for all the opportunities that

they have told me and do every advice that come out of their mouth. I am so graceful with them

for trusting me that I would do a good job in the school and letting me come to achieve a higher

education.

INTRODUCTION

The Philippines is undergoing a major overhaul to bring it in line with education system

worldwide, starting with the k-12 sector. This change to domestic education policy has far-

reaching consequences and is important for international educational institutions to consider

when looking for potential new student recruitment markets.

With the new 12-year curriculum in place, future Filipino students will be ready and

better equipped to join overseas universities at the undergraduate level. And with a k-12 student

population of 20.67 million, which will only increase over the next 20 years (see ICEF Monitor’s

article “New 2035 enrolment forecasts place East Asia and the pacific in lead”), the Philippines

is shaping up to be an attractive recruitment destination. The k-12 basic education program aims

to provide every Filipino child with the education s/he needs to compete in global context.

In May, President Benigno Aquino of Philippines signed into law a basic education

curriculum that will see a mandatory kindergarten year and two additional senior high school

years added to what was a 10-year education curriculum to make basic education 12 years. The

programme has been adopted

not only in the Philippines, but also in Filipino schools abroad that follow the department’s

curriculum.
OBJECTIVE OF IMMERSION

The main objective of 'on-the-job training' is to acquaint the students formally to a real-

life work place environment. This will help to explore the relationship between the knowledge

& skills acquired in college with those required in the working situations. This enables students

to understand and respond better to the market demand.

General Aims of OJT

Demonstrate the broad role and importance of the technician in industry/commerce.

Give the student an opportunity to establish an interest in industrial/commercial

activities.

Provide a general work experience, so that the student can apply skills previously

acquired at the College and acquire new relevant skills.

Provide a foundation for prepare the student for working efficiently and productively in

industrial commercial establishments.

Create a two-way link between the Trade & Industry and the colleges of Ministry of

Manpower so that the graduate of the colleges fulfills their needs and requirements.
