The mission of the City of Fulton Parks and Recreation
Department is to develop, operate and maintain park and
recreation facilities as well as administer quality recreational,
cultural and social programs and events that enhance the
quality of life for the citizens of Fulton.

Facility Reservations
Many of the City’s park facilities can be reserved for special events such as family reunions, birthday
parties, company outings, etc. Detailed information on the City’s outstanding recreational facilities,
as well as the Facility Reservation Policies, can be found on the Parks and Recreation website.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
At times, it may be necessary to cancel a scheduled event due to inclement weather. Cancellation
decisions will be made by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the event and posted on the cancellation hotline
(592-3195). If it becomes necessary to cancel an event after 4:30 p.m., a Parks & Recreation staff
member will make the decision at the event.
If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather, no refunds will be given. Events will be
rescheduled whenever possible. In some cases, participants will be given the option of applying all
or part of their registration fee to a future program.
Program Sponsorship
Team sponsorships and program sponsorships are extremely vital to the success of all Parks &
Recreation programs. With the support of local businesses, we are able to continually offer quality
recreational opportunities to the citizens of Fulton. By participating in the Parks and Recreation
sponsorship program, businesses are able to show their support for the community while receiving
valuable publicity and advertising at the same time. For more information on how your business can

Service and Dedication


The City of Fulton has a variety of environmental initiatives that are available to the residents. The
ones specific to the Parks and Recreation department are: Memorial Benches, Memorial Trees,
Park Landscaping, Golf Course Landscaping, and special events. For individuals interested in
participating in a service or dedication project with the Parks department or the City visit our website

Many of the Parks & Recreation programs require pre-registration, while others allow for on-site
registration.
Three Ways To Register:
1. Walk In: Stop by our office in the lower level of City Hall, 18 East Fourth St., Fulton, MO
65251 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday). We accept
check, cash, money order, and debit/credit (Discover, MasterCard, and Visa). A
three percent surcharge will be added to any credit card purchase.
2. Mail: Registration forms can be mailed in with check, cash, or money order to Attn: Parks
and Recreation, 18 East Fourth St., Fulton, MO 65251,
3. Fax/E-Mail: Registration forms can be faxed or e-mail in but payment must be mailed or
delivered. Registration isn’t official until payment is received.
**ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.**

The City of Fulton Parks and Recreation wants all individuals regardless of income level to have the
opportunity to participate in the programs offered. The Recreation Department has a scholarship
application form that can be completed by interested participants to help assist with the cost of the
programs we provide. The form only can be picked up in person by the applicant at our office.
The applicant must bring proof of all sources of monthly income and assistance (pay check stub,
food stamps, social security, etc.). In order to meet the registration deadline, please make your
financial aid request at least two days prior to the program’s registration deadline. One form will
be completed for all household family members and will remain on file through the current year.

The Fulton Parks & Recreation Department depends greatly on volunteer coaches. We are always
searching for individuals who can serve as mentors and positive role models for the children of our
community. If you are extremely energetic, enthusiastic, possess a positive attitude and truly
enjoy teaching and working with young children, the Parks & Recreation Department needs you.

One of Fulton’s oldest and most popular youth sports programs, the
Fulton Fins Swim Team is open to youth ages 5 to 18. Along with daily
practices conducted by highly qualified coaches, participants will have
the opportunity to compete in four to five Mid-Mo Swim Conference
swim competitions throughout the summer.

Fulton Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with William Woods men’s


basketball team, is offering a fresh and exciting basketball camp. This two
day camp will teach the basics of the game of basketball, teamwork, discipline
and ball handling. Participants will leave the camp with a better understanding
of the game and will also get a camp T-shirt.

Join us for our tennis camp! The purpose of the camp is to provide a fun environment for
students to learn basic skills of tennis and help improve skills for experienced players. The camp
will focus on teaching the fundamental skills of tennis forehand, backhand, volleys, and
participants will have the opportunity to enjoy many exciting activities/games.

New this year, join us for youth Zumba. This class features kid-friendly
routines that break down the steps of Zumba. This helps develop a healthy
lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children's lives by
making fitness fun. Class will take place every Tuesday in June.

This week long camp will teach participants how to improve their technical
skills on passing, shooting, finishing, dribbling and crossing. Participants
will play games utilizing one on one defending and attacking techniques.

Fulton Flash is a youth running club for kids ages 6 to 14 that is part of
the Central Missouri Athletics Circuit (CMAC) and competes in cross
country races against surrounding communities. The club allows kids to
discover the sport of cross country running, while providing a great way
for participants to be active, get into shape and have fun with

In 2017, the Parks and Recreation constructed a bocce ball court at Morgan Soccer Complex. This
year, we will be hosting a double elimination bocce ball tournament in August. Teams will consist
of two players and all teams must pre-register. This tournament is open to all ages.

Are you interested in coaching a youth sport? The Parks & Recreation Department is
always looking for volunteer coaches who are dedicated to serving as a positive role model
to the youth of our community. Coaches will be responsible for teaching the children good
sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork, as well as the rules and fundamental skills of the
game. Parks and Recreation has coaching opportunities in the sports of baseball, softball,
soccer, flag football, kickball and wrestling. If you are interested in coaching a youth sport,
stop by the Parks and Recreation office and fill out a coaching application today!
The Fulton Parks & Recreation Department will be hosts several recreational or leisure-related trips each year.
This is an opportunity to get together with friends or meet new people as you travel to see some of the many
exciting locations and attractions Missouri has to offer. If you have an idea for a trip, please let us know. All
trips are family-oriented and are open to everyone. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by
an adult. All trip packages include admission and travel unless otherwise noted. Please make plans to join us
on one or both of our upcoming trips.

St. Louis Cardinals Trip #1


Looking for a relaxing and economical way to catch a Cardinal’s game? Join us as the Cardinals
take on the New York Mets. The bus will depart from Fulton at 3:30 p.m., and the first pitch is
7:15 p.m. It is promo night, so the first 30,000 fans 16 and older with a ticket entering the
stadium will receive an adult fleece vest. Itineraries will be sent out after registration is
completed and tickets will be issued the day of the event.

at least 16 years of age with a valid driver’s license, have prior work or
participation experience in the relevant activity, and have a strong
desire to work in a fun and exciting environment, then stop by the Parks

19th Annual Clean Sweep Saturday
Families, businesses, clubs, churches, and individuals are invited to
participate in a city-wide clean-up event. This is a fun, family-friendly
event with lunch, drinks and a FREE T-Shirt for the first 200 pre-registered

Adult Moonlight Easter Egg Hunt


Hunting Easter eggs is not just for kids! Join us at Morgan Soccer Park to search for
“glowing” Easter eggs. Many eggs will contain great prizes donated by local

14th Annual Alan Leake Memorial Kids Fishing Tournament


This 14th Annual Kids Fishing Tournament is dedicated to the memory of Fulton Fire
Fighter, Alan Leake. Bring your kids out for a great day of fishing, skills competitions,
and FUN!

Summer Cinema Series


The Summer Cinema Series is back with 3 different movies to be shown in June,
July, and August. All movies are rated G or PG. Seating is available on the
bleachers, or you can bring a lawn chair or blanket. New this year, we will have
yard games to play while you wait for the movie to start.

Fulton Water Works Glow and Splash


Stop by Fulton Water Works for some glow and splash fun. This event will have glow
in the dark supplies, family fun water activities, concessions, and music. We will also
have a guest appearance from our Water Drop Mascot! Bring the family out for a
water splashing good time!

11th Annual Big Bubble Blowout
Would you like to have fun splashing in water and bubbles? If so, join us at the
11th Annual Big Bubble Blowout. Adults and Children will be allowed to play in
the giant bubbles! The event is free and there will be hot dogs, popcorn, drinks
and other treats will be served.

Memory Quilt Class


Preserve great memories in the form of a quilt made out of your special t-shirts, sweatshirts and
jerseys. This quilt will be a great gift for someone special. Instructor Karen Luther will teach
students the techniques to preserve those special memories for a lifetime. Pick either a day or
evening class to attend.

Dog Obedience Class


Would you like to teach your dog basic commands but don’t know where to start? Then this
class is for you! Your dog will learn new tricks and basic commands while you will gain solutions

Youth Archery Clinic


Join us for our new basic archery introduction clinic! The clinic will start with a briefing to ensure
safety on and off the range with discussion on range general instruction and courtesy.
Participants will discuss bow selection, proper draw (length/weight), proper stance, grip, posture,
sighting, and release. Limited to 20 participants.

Fulton’s premier aquatic facility includes a diving pool with a diving board, lap pool with two
waterslides, baby pool, concession stand and picnic area. The facility also serves as the practice
and meet facility for the Parks and Recreation Fulton Fins Swim Team program.
If you are looking for a great way to cool off during those hot summer days, check out Fulton’s
only public swimming pool! The pool is available for birthday parties or private rental.

Age Requirement Policy


Any child under the age of 10 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a parent,
guardian or responsible individual who is at least 15 years of age. Any adult, 18 and older, who
is directly supervising a child under the age of 10, but will not be entering the water, will be
allowed free admission to the pool area.
FULTON FINS SWIM TEAM JR. LIFEGUARD PROGRAM
One of Fulton’s oldest and most popular youth This volunteer program will allow students to

The Dive-In Movies are back with a splash. Grab
your inflatable tube or raft and join us at the pool Session 1 -- July 8—July 18
this summer for a great movie. Pool is open for Session 2 -- July 22—August 1
swimming at 8:00 pm and movie will start around Classes will be held in the mornings only.

OUT WITH A SPLASH POOL PARTY FATHER’S DAY SWIM


All kids are invited to celebrate the last days of Hey kids, bring your dad out for a day at the
summer vacation by joining us at the pool for pool! The pool will be open for three hours
swimming, dancing, games and a whole lot of just for kids and their Dads. There will be a
fun. A DJ will be on hand to play some of to- “Cannonball Contest” and “Belly flop Contest”

Fulton Water Works Rules and Regulations:

 Infants must wear swim diapers. Please do not change diapers on
splash pad.
 Animals are not allowed on or near splash pad.
 No food or drinks are allowed on the splash pad.
 Do not use splash pad during severe weather conditions.
 Water balloons are prohibited in or around splash pad.

The Parks and Recreation department has been actively working with SFS Architecture, out
of Kansas City, MO, on the design of the proposed Community Center. The Community
Center will be located in Veterans Park off of 8th and State Streets. SFS has focused their
design efforts on developing a facility that minimizes construction cost, while maximizing
benefits. Please keep in mind that the designs below are still in the preliminary phases and
may undergo more changes before the final design is selected. The pictures below
