In Western Canada there is a company named Calm Seas. Calm Seas is a manufacturing company that
produce ocean kayak. Meo Seyer is the General Manager of that company. In last six years he became a
Sales Manager. 3 years for a Sales Manager and another 3 years for Calm Seas.
In this company, there are sales staff, sales manager, administrative assistant, production manager,
production supervisor, production operator, company lawyers, delivery people, accounting, and human
resource administrator. The sales staffs are the one responsible for sales. Her car broke down on her
way to a client’s office for an important meeting. She reported her situation to the General Manager
because the Sales Manager was on the plane when the Sales Staff contacted him. The Administrative
Assistant is the secretary of the General Manager. She complained to the General Manager that she
can’t use the newly installed software to get the numbers to reconcile on the sales report. The
Production Supervisor asked the General Manager to come over into the production room because of
the problem with the finish surface of the four kayaks. The Accounting discussed the problem to the
General Manager about the projections for the company next executive meeting. Human Resource
Administrator was having trouble doing her job, she took too much time in finding production assistant.
