Introduction
Blue Tomorrow builds and deploys customized air quality monitors that
can be outfitted with a range of sensors to fit your monitoring needs.
The modular design of our air monitors allows you to integrate low-cost
sensors that measure criteria air pollutants, other important air
pollutants, and meteorological parameters.

Table of Contents
Monitoring local air quality is a powerful tool for identifying air pollutants, understanding a pollutants impact
through space and time, and determining the source of a pollutant. Our monitors can be used for wildfire,
fenceline, or community-scale monitoring, and much more.
The following pages contain detailed information about the sensors we integrate into our air quality monitors:

Monitor & Sensor Overview
We ensure that our monitors accurately measure pollutant levels by collocating monitors with Federal Equivalent Method
(FEM) monitors. We compare the information recorded by our monitors to data from FEM monitors to inform algorithm
correction factors for calibrating sensor results. All sensors are housed in a weatherproof housing that does not need
additional shielding or protection from the elements.

Criteria Air Pollutants
Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) Particulate Matter (PM 2.5 &10)
• Detection Range: 0 to 20 ppm NO2 • Particulate Range: 0.35 to 40 µm, binned into PM 1,
• +/- 1ppb error at full scale, linear at zero and 5ppm NO2 PM 2.5, PM 10 (24 sizing bins total)
• Resolution: 0.01 µg/m3
Ozone (O3) • Can measure up to 2,000 µg/m3
• Detection Range: 0 to 20ppm O3 • Sensor does not require maintenance or cleaning
• +/- 0.5 ppm error at full scale
• Must be paired with NO2 sensor

Other Air Pollutants & Meteorological Data
Methane (CH4)
• Detection Range: 0 to 50,000 ppm CH4
• +/- 2ppm error with colocation and calibration
