TOEFL YSS GO English! Project
1. The TOEFL YSS GO English! is into its 5th year running.
2. MOE has recognized the TOEFL YSS GO English! as a co-curricular activity
under its Highly Immersive Program (HIP).
3. By participating in the project, each student will get co-curricular marks.
4. For the 2017/2018 theme with the theme “Your Time Capsule. In Your
Words”, 3044 Malaysian students from 34 schools assisted by 74 teachers
participated in this global English co-curriculum program and submitted
713 projects. The 2017/2018 submissions saw a 100% increase of
participants from the previous year.

Objectives
1. Advocate for the importance of learning and developing English skills at
younger age
2. Give teachers and students a sense of pride and fun with English teaching
and learning
3. Create a platform for teachers and students to engage and interact
outside the norm of the school teaching paradigm
4. Provide an opportunity for children to work and collaborate with their
own peers from an early age
5. The themes developed by ETS helps the children to develop their creative
skills

Here’s a chance for you and your classmates to get together and come up
with ideas on how to make the world a better place.

Would it be a simple act of kindness, helping others or the environment, or

an invention? What would you do?

We invite you to work as a class to tell us what project you would take on to
make the world a better place. And practice your English skills while creating
a video, radio, poster or newspaper announcement.

Guided by teachers
