III. Procedure:

A. Review/ Drill:
Developing vocabulary using pictures
Reading of words

B. Motivation:
Sing and Exercise: “ Makasulti Ko” in the tune of “ Seksing Butiki”

Makasulti ko 2x
Sa han-ay sa mga panghitabo
Una, ikaduha, sunod kataposan2x

C. Presentation of the Topic:

1. Norm Setting/ Present the rubrics.

2. Activity 1 Picture o Tanong


Have the class a contest. Everybody has the chance to pick up rolled paper. The one who can pick first a
rolled paper in the paper basket will guess the word or name it.
Reading of poem and short story having these 3 words: utanon, bara, binhi
What is sequence and events?

3. Activity 2 Knee to Knee Talk


a. Form each group a circle.
b. Put their knees together.
c. Discuss and arrange the sentences based on the story read.
d. Roll a dice with your group to determine the pupils who will provide the to what happened first, second,
next, and last events.
e.The leader of the group will read the final answer.
4. Analysis: The processing of outputs and giving of points.

2. What did they do to get good results?

5. Abstraction:
Comprehension Questions: “ Ang Pagpananom” “ Utanon”
a. What can you say about the poem and the short story?
b. What is the message of the texts read?
c. Did you plant also vegetables at home with your family?
d. What do we call the arrangements of events in the story?

e. Why is it easy to find the first, second, next and last events?
f. What happen when the events are arranged sequentially?

6. Application: SPEECH CHOIR

Sequence the events in the story provided in the test papers.
