The low level of understanding about the importance of breast milk due to
lack of information and knowledge of mothers about the benefits and value of
breast milk, at least Asi owned by the mother, busy in the activity and the attitude
of mothers who think that breast milk is not good for babyso this causes exclusive
breastfeeding achievement in PuskesmasNisam is only 9.1% in 2015.The purpose
of this research is to know the relation of knowledge, education, attitude and job
to exclusive breastfeeding in Nisam Health Center working area of North Aceh
Regency. Descriptive analytic research design with cross sectional approach. The
population in this study were breastfeeding mothers who had infants aged 6-12
months. Cluster sampling technique sampling, after the cluster and then taken by
automatical random sampling, obtained 62 respondents. The instrument used is a
questionnaire. The result of the research showed that 62.9% of mothers did not
give exclusive breastfeeding, knowledge less 85,3%, basic education 37,1%, had
negative attitude 88,0%, and with job 78,8% not give exclusive breastfeeding. The
conclusion was that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and
exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0,000), there was a relationship between education
and exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.001), there was a relationship between attitude
and exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0,000) Meaningful between work and exclusive
breastfeeding (p = 0.001).
