Taking into account the criteria for participation in the initiative “Schools Promoting the
Wise Use of Wetlands in the Americas”, I/we present the following experience for
consideration by the Ramsar Secretariat:

Note: The maximum length of the submission, excluding the information above, must not
exceed 1,000 words).
Provide a brief description of the location of the school including the region of the
country where it is located and the regional administration to which it belongs, as
well as demographic information about its student population, the number of
communities it serves, and the curricula relating to the conservation of wetlands.
Provide a maximum of two photos (a general view of the school and its student
population). Please note that the photos must be of high resolution.
2. Description of the experience
Provide a clear description of actions carried out regarding the promotion of the wise use
of wetlands, specifying whether these were performed through campaigns, workshops,
prepared materials etc. Also refer to the student population involved in the process, other
stakeholders, and major challenges and how they were resolved. In addition, mention those
wetland(s) where the experience was developed, as appropriate, including some illustrative
pictures.

wetland, taking into account the following aspects:
