1.4 Fire Pump Control Panel
Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of control panels for
operation of fire fighting pumps (item 1.1) and jockey pump (item
1.2). The control panel shall have the facility to operate the pumps
automatically and manually. Automatic starting and stopping of Fire
Pumps and Jockey Pump shall be by sensing water pressure in the
pump header. The panel shall be constructed of 16 SWG mild steel
sheets and appropriately painted with two coats of approved quality
and colour of paint over a coat of primer. It shall house circuit
breakers (MCCB/MCB), AUTO-OFF-MANUAL switches, duty pump
selection switches, fuses, star-delta starters for Fire Pumps and
DOL starter for Jockey Pump, relays, pressure switches with
sensors, incoming contacts for float switches with sensors, volt-
meters, ammeters, alarm horn, panel heater and all other standard

2 PIPE ACCESSORIES (Foreign, Local Procurement):
Pipe accessories such as gate valves, globe valves, check
valves,PRV strainer, expansion joint etc. shall be suitable to with
stand a pressure of 250 psig. Valves of 100mm dia and above shall
be of iron body, flanged end type complete with companion flanges,
gaskets, nuts bolts etc. and valves, less than 80mm dia shall be
bronze body, threaded end type.Installations of pipe accessories
such as gate valves, globe valves, check valves,PRV strainer,
expansion joint etc. shall be as per drawing and direction. Proper
size of flanges with gasket nut-bolt shall be used. Valve installation
shall be leak proof type. Each pipe accessories shall be provided
with support, bracket or hanger so that there is no load on pipe
work. Handle of the valves shall be positioned in such a way that
operation shall be easy. If required Valve pit for service valve for
under ground pipe installation shall be done as per direction. Valve
pit shall be provided with cover and drainage system.Testing &
Commissioning of Pipe accessories such as gate valves, globe
valves, check valves, strainer, expansion joint etc. shall be as per
drawing and direction.

2.10 PRESSURE RELEASING VALVE
Supply, installation and testing of Pressure Reducing Valves for
adjusting and maintaining outlet pressure to between 100 psig to 75
psig when inlet pressure varies from 250 psig to 100 psig. The Unit
shall have pressure relief connection in order to bypass pressurized

water in case of excessive pressure rise in the line. The valves shall

3 METERING DEVICE & CONTROLS:
Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Metering devices
shall be as per drawing and as per direction and shall be completed
with all mounting accessories. Installation of pressure gauge shall 0
be as per drawing and direction. Adapter, nipple, union, pressure
snowber, petcock etc. shall be supplied and installed as per
direction and drawing. Installation shall be easy to read the meters.

6 PIPE WORK :
Supply and Installation of black steel pipe of welded type suitable to
withstand a test pressure 15 kg of water complete with bends, tees,
elbows, reducers, socket, union etc. as per drawing and
direction.Cutting of pipe welding, threading and sealing the thread
with proper type of sealing compound shall be done leak proof. Pipe
work along with fittings shall be suitable to withstand a test pressure
of 15 Kg/cm². Required flanges shall be provided in main pipe as
per direction. All Pipe including M/S. materials including outside of 0
Black steel pipe work shall be provided with two coats of cold
galvanisation after proper cleaning. All underground pipes shall be
protected with black tape wrapping. Earth cutting, filling with sand
cc pipe support at an interval of 3 meter shall be done for out door

10 ERECTION, TESTING & COMMISSIONING :

After proper installation the system shall be tested and
commissioned as per direction and recommendation. Pipe work
shall be tested at a test pressure of 15 kg/cm² for 24 hours without 1 Job 200,000 200,000

run for seven days upto the satisfaction of the Owner.
