CUST Business Research Conference 2016

Guidelines for Oral Presentation

Dear Presenter,
We extend a warm welcome to present your paper in 5th Cust Business Research Conference.
You are required to submit your powerpoint presentation at: cbrc@cust.edu.pk. Guidelines are
formed to bring uniformity in terms of formatting of presentations to be delivered in CBRC’16.
All the presenters are requested to follow the submission guidelines for powerpoint presentation.
The purpose to follow these guidelines is to create an ease for the audience to listen and
understand the concept to be presented by respected authors from diverse fields.
1. Presentation must be in English language.
2. Do not overburden slides with text.
3. Use minimum font size of 32 points for slides headers and minimum 28 points for bullets
of slides.
4. Audiences do not typically retain more than five key points. Place 4 – 5 bullets on each
slide.
5. The conference will have participants representing a wide range of ideas. To enable a
fruitful discussion, please make sure you explain the major aspects of your project,
allowing everyone who is not in your field of expertise to follow your presentation.
6. Slides should be visually appealing and should present concrete information.
7. Visuals are encouraged to aid your point of view but avoid unnecessary animations to
keep focused.
8. Prepare an oral presentation lasting 10-15 minutes. Presenter will not be interrupted
during presentation however; 5 minutes will be allotted to audience/discussants for
questions.
9. “Save” and “Insert” your diagrams and pictures in JPEG format. Do not use “Cut “and
“Paste “ images as each image pasted will be pasted in BMP format, which will increase
the size of your file. It will also cause it to crash often.
10. Save your files in .ppt or .pptx format.

NOTE:
 All presenters should e-mail their PowerPoint presentation files not later than 7th
October, 2016, for incorporation in the Conference central system and technical check.
 The Conference technical staff is responsible for projecting the presentation file
according to the finalized program therefore personal laptops are not required.
