Remove the el. cables from the unit injector connections and carefully clean the connections.

Select the buzzer range on the Multimeter and measure the resistance between the connections on the unit injector
solenoid valves.

Commence measuring on the unit injector which generated the fault code.

Intended value: 1.0-2.0

With an incorrect intended value, the solenoid valve is defective. Replace the unit injector.

If the correct intended value is obtained on all the unit injectors, fault trace the cable harness between the control unit
and unit injectors, according toShort-circuiting or breakage in cable harness.

Note: When fitting the cables on the solenoid valves, torque-tighten the nuts according to the specifications.
The valve cover nuts should be torque-tightened according to the diagram in the specifications.

Connecting up for measuring

1
Make sure the starting key is in the Off position.

2
Clean the control unit and connectors.

3
Remove the el. cables from the connections on the unit injector solenoid valves.

4
Remove connector EA from the control unit and connect adapter 8302 to the connector.
Make sure that the connector and adapter are properly pressed together, but do not use force.

Note: The control unit must not be connected.

Measuring
Note: The numbers on the test unit terminals are equivalent to the pin connection numbers on connector EA.
Also refer to the circuit wiring diagram for the control unit on Fig. .
