INTRODUCTION
The banking industry in India has a huge canvas of history,
which covers the traditional banking practices from the time of
Britishers to the reforms period, nationalization to privatization
of banks and now increasing numbers of foreign banks in India.
Therefore, Banking in India has been through a long journey.
The fundamental aspect of banking is the trust and the
confidence of the people on the institution remain the same.
However, with the changing dynamics of banking business
brings new kind of risk exposure. This project is an attempt to
identify the general sentiments, challenges and opportunities
for the Indian banking industries.
The recent happenings related to fleeing away taking loan
money and black money had shaken well these sectors to look
inside their working and to bring some important drastic
change. However, there has been a history that our banking
industry is one of the few in the world to maintain resilience
during the time the World Economy is was passing through
some intricate circumstance.
The general banking scenario in India has become very
dynamic now-a-days. Before pre-liberalization era, the picture
of Indian Banking was completely different as the Government
of India initiated measures to play an active role in the
economic life of the nation.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The project through a focused analysis of Indian Banking
system and the issues it faced during post-independence, 90s,
and right now. The researcher will also bring up the impacts of
happenings like, Vijay Mallya case and Nirav Modi case.

The researcher will be dependent on the non-doctrinal and
