Shahid Afridi mocks Gautam Gambhir’s tweet over Pulwama

Terror Attack
The entire length and breadth of India is in a state of mourning right now over the
past few days in the aftermath of the ghastly blasts in Kashmir’s Pulwama which
took the lives of 42 CRPF Jawans. Many are expressing their anger over the
terrorist attack and are offering condolences for the brave martyred souls, and are
asking for decisive action against the perpetrators. Fingers have naturally been
raised against Pakistan and Cricketer Gautam Gambhir has been no exception.
The former Indian Southpaw has not minced his words in condemning the terror
attack and has demanded that Pakistan should be given response directly on the
battleground.
Here’s what he tweeted after the attack on February 14th, “Yes, let’s talk with the
separatists. Yes, let’s talk with Pakistan. But this time conversation can’t be on
the table, it has to be in a battleground. Enough is enough. 18 CRPF personnel
killed in IED blast on Srinagar-Jammu highway”.Gambhir is clearly very angry
at what has transpired.

Pakistani Cricketer Shahid Afridi, also known as “Boom Boom” Afridi, was
asked for his reaction to Gambhir’s anger and “Battlefield”
proclaimation.Afridi, who seemed to be heading for the team bus after a
PSL(Pakistan Super League) Match for the Multan Sultans, reacted with an
expression of surprise, “Kya ho gya usko?”.When pressed further, he declined
from making any further detailed comments and boarded the waiting bus. He
seems to have been cautious against courting another big controversy as he has
faced flak for his comments on certain political matters before including the
Kashmir issue and it has led to his verbal spats with Gautam Gambhir himself.

Meanwhile, Gambhir has continued to be vociferous on social media regarding
various issues and has pledged his full support to the Indian Army in whatever
manner it is required of him.
In related developments, Cricket Club of India secretary Suresh Bafna on Sunday
requested the BCCI to restrain the Indian Cricket Team from playing against
Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
