Noting or protest of bill
(1)
Where an inland bill hasbeendishonoured,it may, if the holderthink fit, be notedfor non-
acceptanceor non-payment,as the casemay be; but it shall not be necessaryto uole or
protestany suchhill in orderto preservethe recourseagainstthe drawer or indorser.

Where a foreign bill, appearingon the face of it to be such,hasbeendishonouredby non-
acceptance,it must be duly protestedfor non-acceptance, and where sucha bill, which has
