Dear Ms. Tangco:

I am writing to express my interest in applying as a Corporate Management Associate in the JFC

Future Leaders Program. In light of my interests and competencies in Human Resource
Management, I would to apply specifically under the HR Labor/Employee Relations track.

I am a graduating Psychology student of the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am

expected to graduate with the scholastic standing of Summa Cum Laude and I am one of those
running as Valedictorian of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.

I am confident that my academic learning, organizational work, as well as my experience in a

multicultural environment have given me the right skill set to perform well in the challenges and
responsibilities that the position entails. I settle conflicts with a heightened sensitivity because of
my background as a Psychology major which has broadened my understanding of personalities,
work dynamics, and power relations. As an exchange student to the University of Seoul in South
Korea, I have studied International Relations and have been exposed to a wide range of
personalities, races and ethnic backgrounds. This experience gives me a competitive advantage
as I can work with business leaders and employees not just from all walks of life but also across
multiple racial and cultural backgrounds. I believe that these knowledge and experiences will
prove to be an asset in resolving and managing employee relations issues and disciplinary cases.

I have also been equipped with skills in leadership, project management, and rewards-giving
which I am looking forward to practice in the corporate setting. I am also very experienced as a
researcher with the significant number of research manuscripts I have individually and
collaboratively written. I consider this as a valuable skill set because it can be useful in
conceptualizing, implementing, and measuring the impact of employee relations activities as
well as other changes in the corporate culture. With the number of projects I spearheaded and
participated in, I am confident in my ability to manage people and to resolve conflicts that deter
the progress of an event or output. I also believe in my potential in organizational development
as I have worked with multiple organizations here and abroad and I have held a number of
leadership positions, including those in training and development, research, and project
management.
My academic and organizational activities as a student leader has trained me to plan, facilitate,
and coordinate well with team members even under a high pressure work environment. But
beyond these credentials, I think my edge over other applicants is my love of learning and drive
to achieve. Given the opportunity, I believe that I can one day prove to be a valuable asset in the
growing family of JFC.
